14th Oyster Festival in Bergs Bazaar On Saturday, 14 September, from 12:00 - 21:00, the 14th Oyster Festival will take place at the Buržujs restaurant.
Visitors will have the opportunity to taste 12 different types of oysters and a wide range of seafood Street Food. The event will include a duel between the fastest oyster shuckers in the Baltics and both professionals and amateurs will compete in oyster shucking.
Guests will be entertained by a magician and a mime, the creative association "Fairy Tale House" will surprise with sea-themed performances and a photo opportunity in a special oyster photo ball, there will be musical performances and the chance to win valuable prizes in competitions, quizzes and contests.
A children's workshop will be held in the ISSP Gallery in Bergs Bazaar, and the exhibition "Marmoleum Real 2mm" by Zane Priedes, based on her personal experience of growing up in the environment and aesthetics of the 1990s, will also be on show.
The entire Bergs Bazaar area from Dzirnavu to the entrance of Marijas iela will be open to festival guests, with standing desks and the terraces of the adjacent cafés. Additional tables will also be set up in the former My Fitness premises.
