Future Front Row FashionTEX – Amsterdam 2025
✨ where creativity breathes and the future shines. ✨

On November 20, together with Future Front Row, we showed at Fabrique des Lumières what the future of fashion feels like: not made of fabric, but of light. Holographic, limitless, emotional.
24 students from 11 European partner universities presented their fully digital collections — virtually developed at MAKERSPACE Schneeberg and experienced for the first time in Amsterdam as life-sized holograms.
FashionTEX 2025 proved:
Fashion can move us — even without needle and thread.

Am 20. November zeigten wir gemeinsam mit Future Front Row in der Fabrique des Lumières, wie sich Mode der Zukunft anfühlt: nicht aus Stoff, sondern aus Licht. Holografisch, grenzenlos, emotional.

24 Studierende aus 11 europäischen Partneruniversitäten präsentierten ihre vollständig digitalen Kollektionen – virtuell entwickelt im MAKERSPACE Schneeberg, erstmals erlebbar als lebensgroße Hologramme in Amsterdam.
FashionTEX 2025 hat gezeigt:

FashionTEX Makerspace 2026 goes Riga

The next FashionTEX Makerspace will take place in September 2026 in Riga at the Art Academy of Latvia, under the leadership of FashionTEX project manager Jānis Gailītis. With this, Riga officially takes over the next stage of the FashionTEX project.

From 9–12 December 2025, the Art Academy of Latvia already became a meeting place for international exchange. Uwe Bodenschatz (.schneeberg expert of the FashionTEX Makerspace Schneeberg 2025) and Ute Thomas from the Dresden State Art Collections, Museum of Decorative Arts, visited Riga to experience the Art Academy of Latvia as a creative hub, its unique study and working environment, its makerspace structures, and the city’s diverse creative infrastructure.

Following the FashionTEX Makerspace 2025 in Schneeberg, the momentum is now passed on to Riga. In September 2026, students from partner universities will come together here to collaborate, experiment, and develop new perspectives on fashion, textiles, and technology. FashionTEX connects European places, people, and ideas—and Riga is ready to take the lead.
