Modest statement tees, casual Islamic clothing, and beautiful Islamic lifestyle essentials for God-conscious Muslims... Find us on Shopee! ABOUT US
Hakawati comes from a fusion of two Arabic words: hekaye means “the story” and haki means “to talk,” and the one who tells the tales is called a hakawati. We’re a revert Muslim couple on a mission. We're learning while helping others learn. And in this

journey we realized something. We want you to be part of this journey. We realized that we're not just here to learn. We need to make something beyond learning - thus, our clothing brand. We want to share the beautiful narratives of our deen not just on our social media posts but to our daily get-gos and OOTDs. Because, in the modern world, Muslims are supposed to behave like "Muslims" and the number one factor a Muslim can be identified as one is through his/her clothing. We know that fashion is a complex universe to trade into but as Muslims, we are taught to what and what-not. We have to stay in a pace of our purpose why we're molded in the very first place. It's our mission. At Muslim Hakawati, we nurture our emaan. We help Muslims stay afloat the beautiful Islamic norms. We make modern yet standard modest lifestyle clothing for every God-conscious Muslim. We are Muslim Hakawati. Narratives of our deen through modern yet modest islamic clothing...

There is something beautiful about Eid al-Adha.
It reminds us that love is sacrifice.
That faith is trust.
And that sometimes, the greatest acts are the ones done sincerely for Allah alone.

May this Eid bring peace into your home, barakah into your rizq, and softness into your heart.
May Allah accept your sacrifices, your silent prayers, and every hardship you carried this year.

Eid Al-Adha Mubarak to you and your loved ones. 🌙✨

Today, we begin again.
With empty stomachs.
With hopeful hearts.
With tired souls that still choose Allah.

Ramadan is not just about fasting.
It is about softening.
About returning.
About healing what the world hardened.

Like dust washed by rain,
this month cleans what life has stained.
Slowly. Gently. Mercifully.

May this Ramadan bring you clarity.
May it bring you peace.
May it bring you back to who you were before the noise.

Let us walk this month together.
With du’a.
With patience.
With love for Allah.

✨ Ramadan Mubarak from

"HUKOM SA PAG PAPALIT NG NAKA LIGTAAN NA SALAH"

( Allahu'a'lam )

I found this question on Reddit about why Islam is so misunderstood in modern discourse, and it pulled me in like a comment section you promise yourself you will not read but somehow end up swimming in anyway. I wanted to share my take because misunderstandings about Islam are not just inaccuracies.

Why Islam Stays Misunderstood — And What We Can Do About It - an incredible take on Islam on a perspective of a Muslim Revert.

Life in this world is not meant to be easy. Every moment we breathe, we are part of a silent war not one fought with weapons or armies, but with whispers, temptations, and choices. This unseen battlefield is what makes living in this world difficult, for as the saying goes, “we live fighting against shaytans.”

Each person walks through life with their own shaytan, an unseen companion whose purpose is to pull the heart away from remembrance of Allah. He plants doubt where there should be faith, anger where there should be patience, pride where there should be humility. And when people fail to recognize this battle, they begin to see others, not shaytan, as their enemy.

This is why conflicts arise between friends, between spouses, between parents and children. The shaytans assigned to them become rivals, whispering words that inflame ego and break peace. The home, which should be a sanctuary of love and mercy, becomes a ground of silent hostility, not because hearts are inherently evil, but because unseen enemies are stirring within them.

Because in this world, we live fighting against devils (shaytans)

Sometimes Allah takes you away from something you love not to end it, but to teach you how to return to it with a purer heart.

Sometimes Allah takes you away from something you love — not to end it, but to teach you how to return to it with a purer heart.

After commanding the Prophet ﷺ to wait for the revelation, Allah instructs him with the du’a:

“Rabbi zidni ‘ilma” — “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

It’s the only du’a in the Qur’an where Allah Himself commands His Prophet to ask for more of something and that “something” is knowledge.

This highlights how sacred and valuable knowledge is in Islam... not wealth, not power, but knowledge is what Allah tells us to keep increasing.

I used to plan everything, from content calendars, ads, funnels, copy. But I rarely made du’a for my marketing.

That’s when I realized… most Muslim entrepreneurs make the same mistake. We rely on our tools, but forget our Tawakkul.

The truth?
You can’t A/B test barakah.
You can only earn it.

So now, before I post, I pause.
I whisper this very special yet simple du’a from Surah Taha, 20:114:

Rabbi zidni ‘ilma
“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

Because when your heart is sincere,
your message reaches further than any algorithm ever could.

Halal marketing isn’t just about being ethical.
It’s about remembering Who gives the rizq.

So before you launch your next campaign, make du’a first.
You’ll be surprised how much lighter your efforts feel when barakah enters the work.
