The invitation landed. 🗓️

On 7–8 July, we take our first bow at South East Asia Fashion Week in Kuala Lumpur. A presentation. A deliberate moment where we share what we've been quietly building.

We're bringing two collections:

🌅 Ekuseni — Ndebele for "at dawn." A premium line where African embellishment meets streetwear and workwear for a new kind of Afrofuturism.
🥾 Our full outdoor-geared main line — hiking shoes, trail runners, and clothing designed for the Black body in the wild.

This is not a pivot. It's an expansion. And you're the first to know.

This is the Carmen Lo Hiker. I named it after my business partner, Carmen — someone resilient, charming, and so steady you almost forget how rare that is. The shoe follows suit: oxford‑esque but trail‑ready, clean enough for a good fit, tough enough to leave the city behind.

It’s a pre‑order, shipping late August / early September. That means you lock in the lower price now, and your pair arrives as we head into autumn. Not many made — once the window closes, these go quiet.

Made in Portugal. Hairy suede. Waterproof. Two laces, green and red. 20 trees planted per pair.

I spent years fascinated, collecting, flipping mismatched sneakers — and never kept a single pair. Not one. Y'all might not know I paid for my MBA flipping sneakers. Only ever kept one pair. (Never get high on your own supply.)

But the mismatched sneaker? It's always moved me. The liberty — no, the privilege — of being Zimbabwean meant there was a deeper connection with these fabrics, these patterns, this wild mix of colour and story.

First time I saw a zebra: 6th grade, class trip to Matopos. They dropped us in the middle of the bush with nothing but a topographic map. And randomly, I had on a red t-shirt. Walking past a herd of wildebeest and zebra — that was a formative moment. It's when I learned cartoons lie!

The Moyo is back. Mismatched. Unhinged.

This is still my favorite sneaker I've ever sketched.

From the first line, I wanted a late 80s basketball silhouette — low, sleek, but cut from something else. Like it fell out of a meteorite.

We used the best pebbled leather we could find. Named the colorway after my niece, Shiloh.

So how do we make a shoe 🧵

Every shoe we’ve ever made starts the same way: a sketch. Shoutout to architecture classes

From there, I build a hyper‑realistic render. Then comes the hard part – finding a sample maker who sees the vision. Basically, this person has to be the love of my life

But here’s the truth:

If you look at V1… seems like me and that sample maker were beefing. That toe box threw off the whole geometry. Created mad sizing issues. We weren't aligned.

So we went back. Reworked everything.

V2 is the result. We fixed the toe box, dialed in the fit, and built something meant to last. An heirloom shoe.

The Stallion V2 is available now.
