Galileo Yarns Tiim Yarns /formerly Galileo Yarns/ offers cashmere and camel wool yarns directly sourced from the nomadic herders in Mongolia.

Our raw materials, the cashmere and camel wool fibres, come from the Khurkhiin Naran cooperative, located in the Southern Gobi region of Mongolia. Khurkhiin Naran cooperative has been collaborating with and receiving technical support from the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Mongolia since 2016. Together they are working on defining sustainability for the nomadic herders of the cooperative in

respect to nature, with an objective of achieving a wildlife friendly way of growing and harvesting fibres from their livestock. The fibres are then processed in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia for washing, de-hairing and spinning to become yarn.
