Needles, threads, and countless hours at the machine — this is where ideas finally became reality.

Sarah and Martin poured their energy into bringing the design to life, starting with a prototype before creating the final dress. That meant long nights, endless adjustments, and testing every detail to make sure the garment worked as we imagined.

Every stitch carried the challenge of transforming a vision into something tangible — something that could be worn, tested, and perfected.

Finding the right fabrics was not just about style — it was about harmony.

The challenge was to choose textiles that complement each other rather than compete. Every texture and colour had to adapt seamlessly to the process and support the final design.

It was about balance: durable yet elegant, versatile yet refined. Materials that could carry the story of Ambi Wear, from day to night, with ease.

Before a single stitch is sewn, the vision has to be mapped out. That’s where pattern making comes in — the hidden architecture of every garment.

For AmbiWear, this step carried extra weight. The dress had to shift from long to short, transform into a bag, and remain zero-waste.

Gabriel from our team took on that challenge, carefully drafting patterns that balance precision with creativity. Without this foundation, the rest of the process could never take shape.

One dress- Endless Possibilities ❤️

Ambi Wear concept started with a simple question: what if one dress could keep up with every part of a woman’s day? 🌿

The result is a reversible, modular design that transforms with her needs:

✨ Long to short with a detachable bottom
✨ A bag hidden in plain sight
✨ Two sides, two fabrics — more ways to wear
✨ Zero-waste pattern to reduce textile waste

It’s about versatility, sustainability, and style — all in one.

Now, after months of development, the dress is ready to be revealed at Designmt

Ambi Wear was born when 5 of us came together at Fashion Jam- Design competition where the theme was "Green is the new Black".

We had only 24 hours to go through all processes: Brainstorming ideas
Sketching concept
Choosing materials
Building prototypes
Presenting our vision to the judges.

It was intense, but it paid off- We Won 🏆

That spark at Fashion Jam has now grown I to the full project which we are excited to present at Designmt in Valletta.
