Established by Paola Masperi, Mayamiko is a responsible womenswear and lifestyle brand, lovingly created by the women who are at the heart of our social enterpris

e, with ethics and sustainability at its core. Our collections are cross-seasonal, designed for the global woman and inspired by the indigenous artisans located where our items are made. Started in Malawi, our main collections give ode to their birthplace through the use of traditional African techniques and locally sourced fabrics referred to as 'chitenje'. Our vision is to bring you a growing selection of carefully crafted pieces, made by handpicked artisans all over the globe. Currently, you can choose from plant died jewellery from Sri Lanka, hand-knitted fair trade Peruvian hats and up-cycled silk from Italy. We are dedicated to putting people and the planet at the heart of our process and are here to prove that shopping ethically and sustainably does not compromise on quality or design, but rather, adds to its value, while empowering all those along its production lifecycle. Garments made by the Mayamiko production unit have been featured on Vogue, Grazia, Cosmopolitan and on the Guardian website.

What is Blue Monday?

It has been dubbed the most depressing day of the year. January, in general, is a time when the cold weather, lack of daylight, and general post-Christmas slump can lead to many people feeling down and lacking in motivation.

We want to take this opportunity to remember to look after our mental health and be sure we check with ourselves and our loved ones how we feel and what we need🥰

They all craft timeless pieces with ethics and sustainability at the heart. 💚

Through donations to Mayamiko Trust, we have contributed to their goals across three main projects:

🎓 18 women trained in tailoring and sewing with a 6 months course and sewing machine grant at successful completion.

🚀235 women trained in Entrepreneurship, Business & Financial Management

🩸50 communities trained in menstrual health, providing training, books and materials + tutorials to  make pads

Also your orders have helped sponsor 1000 sanitary pads, 1800 nutritious meals and 1000 face masks.
Creating work for 3 employees, supporting 24 immediate family members.
