I find native art techniques to be an invaluable treasure that can become boring by it’s redundant application to the native art-style they where born in. So through the care of an Ofelia, a woman that gives out love, Horfelia changes the colors and expressions of native craftsmanship turning them into a refreshing piece that no longer belongs in the box of souvenirs. ter a trip to the Lacandon jungles where inequity in labour is at its peak of expression. Inspired by the belief that we are all equal and the world’s convenient denial of it, I decided to sum up to the movement of humanizing the fashion industry by creating a brand that would unify fashion and fair trade. With hope that one day, more and more people will take action in their own roll for making this world a better place, I hope you enjoy our collections as much as we’ve enjoyed making them. COLLECTION
Inside, we are all the same. Our bodies are all held by the spine that carries our weight and we all depend on our beating hearts that make blood rush through our veins. But the skin that covers our flesh and bones hides all that makes us equal masking our insides with false indicators of identities. If we claim to acknowledge that we are all the same, then, why are we valued differently? why should one’s effort be diminished by the color of one’s skin, the beliefs of one's faith or the nature of one’s origins?
