This amazing macrame artwork was made by my mother.
I want to take a moment to talk about her. She’s a Mexican woman in her late 50s, and she never thought of herself as an “artist” or even someone capable of doing something artistic.
It fills me with joy that my encouragement, support, and the fact that she sees me making a living doing what I love have led her to believe in herself and create something as beautiful as this macrame artwork!
She still gets very excited and surprised when people tell her how much they love her pieces, so if you’re one of those people, please leave her a great comment so she can continue doing what she likes!

Está hermosa obra de arte de macramé fue hecha por mi mamá.
Quiero tomarme un momento para hablar de ella. Es una mujer mexicana en sus 50’s, y nunca se consideró a sí misma una “artista” ni alguien capaz de hacer algo artístico.
Me llena de alegría que mi ánimo, apoyo y el hecho de que ella me vea ganándome la vida haciendo lo que amo la hayan llevado a creer en sí misma y a crear algo tan hermoso como esta obra de macramé.
