COTTON TENUN IKKAT

These Kurungs are handloomed from hand-dyed COTTON threads. It’s all 🤚🏻 🤚🏻 miracles here inShaAllah.
They’re not printed, not “cop” , not “painted” - they’re the hardwork of some lovely skilled + blessed hands, using old school wooden weaving system.

Washing them COTTON TENUN IKKAT requires some extra 💕 unlike those washing-machine friendly fabrics.
_ We would suggest a dry cleaning option for the first two washes if you can afford it. Most of our personal tailors would suggest as such when handling some fabrics you’d like to keep for a longer period. It keeps the color nice, avoid fast dullness especially on hand-dyed threads + hand-painted patterns.
_ Otherwise, the more affordable option is to HANDWASH such fabric using mild detergent , (WE PREFER BODY WASH/ SHOWER GEL) + to wash them separately as the dye of its thread may “turun warna” in reaction to harsh/ unsuitable detergent.
_ Avoid drying under direct hot sunny ☀️ weather for it may dull the color even faster after few washes.
_ it sounds tedious this LOVELY TENUN IKKAT, 🤚🏻 🤚🏻 miracles do come with that extra tender loving care.
