HAIR CARE FOR HIJABIS

As Hijabi's we often neglect our hair because the whole world can't see it. This is so wrong in so many ways because we are only damaging our hair and blame the hijab. It ain't the hijab, It's the way we treat it!

Here some tips to take care of your hair as a Hijabi and preventing hair loss:

1. Brushing - It needs to be done gently so the best way is when your hair is tame & relaxed.

2. Washing - You need to shampoo your roots and scalp. Don't put any shampoo through the ends as it's very drying and after that apply the conditioner. Don't wash your hair every day, your hair will get very dry. You should wash it once every two days.

3. Stop getting lank greasy dull hair - Before shower comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb to untangle any knots. You also need to let your hair dry naturally and completely after washing before wearing a hijab and please don't tie it while it's wet.

4. Letting your hair breath - Taking off the hijab as soon as you're home is good for the hair and massaging your roots makes hair more prone to greasiness.

5. Fabrics - Wear hijab with fabric that can protect your hair from dangerous UV rays and pollution.

HIJABI LIFE HACKS IN SUMMER

For hijabis, such hot weather would be a challenge especially when it’s humid. It’s not easy to stay fully covered in hot summer days, we have to admit. However, we got some tricks to deal with it.

1. Reach for clothing made of cotton, linen and jersey. These materials are lightweight, breathable and absorb moisture easily. Wear hijabs made of jersey material. The great thing about jersey is that it can be worn without an under cap - freeing up an extra layer on your head

2. Avoid wearing dark shades of clothing. They absorb heat, making you feel even warmer.

3. Pastel and bright coloured clothing is notorious for showing sweat stains. Grey clothing is also no good. White is the optimal choice for keeping cool and hiding sweat stains at the same time. Just be sure to wear a n**e camisole underneath that matches your skin-tone. This will help hide pesky yellow pit stains. The n**e color won't show through your white clothing.

HOW TO USE HIJAB PINS

Hijab pins are amazing for Muslimah who wants to keep the scarf on her head all day.

Here are ways you can use the three different types of hijab pins:

1. STRAIGHT PINS

To use the straight pin, drape the scarf around your head as desired and pin throughout the process as many times as you need to. Take the pin and slide it downwards, making sure to go through all of the fabric layers to make it secure. Next, angle the pin outwards so that it pokes out, and then proceed to go downwards again underneath the layers.

2. SAFETY PINS

To use this type of pin, first place the scarf on top of your head. After that, grab both sides of the scarf underneath your neck and unhook the safety pin from its sheath. You will then place the needle of the safety pin through both pieces of fabric under the neck and hook it back into the sheath to secure the scarf. After using the safety pin, you can now wrap your hijab as desired and you won't have to worry about it coming undone!

3. STICK PINS

Stick pins are an exciting type of hijab pin because they are used to adorn and secure the scarf at the same time! They are usually used as the last step of the hijab wrapping process so that they can be placed on the outside of the headscarf. In order to use a stick pin, first finish wrapping your scarf. After that, you will slip the needle through the folds of the scarf downwards like the straight pin and attach the closure.

Who say plus size cannot be fashionable? Especially if you are a hijabi? Here is some tips that you can use to be fashionable even wearing hijab!

1. Don't layer hijabs too much as it gets puffy and makes the face look larger.

2. A-line dresses are always a good idea. They have just the right amount of flow. Bear in mind that the more fabric your dress has, the fuller your figure will seem.

3. Try out drawstring dresses that are designed to be flattering.

4. Straight legged pants with a long cardi over. It is an excellent day at the mall, day at the park, lounging with the family type of look. It helps to hide the curves and looks chic.

5. Drape your scarf to cover the chest area. Option for longer length scarves.

6. Denim shirts teamed up with dresses or floral skirts are always a WIN!

7. Try skirts with shirts, and a long sleeved open front top over.

8. Kimonos are a fabulous investment, and they camouflage the rolls
