Every hijabi wants to have a good hijab day every time she puts on her favourite scarf. And there are numerous factors that affect how well a hijab day goes, beginning with how to wash and maintain it.
We can all relate to the struggle of trying to figure out how to wash our hijabs so they are spotless and as good as new without causing any harm to the fabric.
You can wash your chiffon hijab or any other fabric using our straightforward instructions.
How to Wash Your Chiffon Hijab
You may come across suggestions to wash your hijab in a full sink or bucket, but we strongly advise against doing so. Instead, wash your scarf by delicately hand washing it under running water. Instead of Persil Gel, it is preferable to use subtle cleaners like Downy because they help preserve the dye and fabric so they remain the same for years to come. Also, be careful not to submerge the scarf for an extended period of time as this could harm the fabric over time.
How to Keep Your Hijab in Place?
The first thing that comes to mind is probably pins. That's definitely not the solution, though. While using pins is a quick and simple way to stop your scarf from swaying from east to west, doing so severely harms the fabric and runs the risk of tearing it, which would slightly break your heart.
So what is it? Don't undervalue the power of a good bandana, preferably one made of cotton. Try out a few different ones until you find the one that works best for you. Why is that crucial? A good bandana will prevent your hijab from slipping around easily, allowing you to keep a better hold of it, especially if it is made of chiffon or satin.
If you find yourself really wanting to use pins, then you can go for magnetic ones, they’re practical and less harmful on the fabric.
Lastly, remember that you look beautiful in every shape and form, and always stay modest and proud.
