Founded in 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Bombay BeautyTM, is the reflection of inspiration by Uvanes Vary, fondly known as Uva. She is the proud product of Kuala Lumpur, born and bred in the city. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Information Systems from University Malaysia Sarawak and an MBA from James Cook University, Australia. ness involvement or engagement within her family. Nevertheless her drive for success, inborn business acumen and her parents and siblings acting as her backbone of support and encouragement has brought her to where she is today . Which is why she prefers to be known as Uva & Co as she attributes her achievements to the continuing support of her family and friends. A lover of all things Indian (including her significant other who originates from Mumbai !) and a believer of “quality should be a given”, she started by operating as a Beauty Centre which boasted authentic beauty solutions from Mumbai. This very quickly evolved, diversifying into the fashion industry by importing the latest trendsetting yet ethnic items from Mumbai & Jaipur to Malaysia and Singapore. This created an awareness among Malaysian Indians on quality materials and the span of variety available at their doorstep that was modestly keeping up with trends yet preserving its ethnicity and cultural characteristics, unknown to Malaysian Indians in the past. In May 2015, Uvanes Vary took its the next major step by going into e-business, with the launch of www.frombombay.com which was founded with the sole purpose of introducing high quality fashion & trend-setting products from Jaipur and Mumbai into the Malaysian market at a touch of a button. It’s a very comprehensive and dedicated website that focuses on providing the best & fastest service to its customers. Operating almost 24/7, it has really taken off and spread its wings taking advantage of the era of globalization and electronic marketing, amidst the still naïve Malaysian Indians who have reservations about online shopping. Unaware the hidden passion & talent in her, Getting an opportunity to participate in EMP Fashion Showcase 2016 is another significant milestone for Uvanes Vary. Urban Kutch was the debut collection by Uvanes Vary on the platform created by EMP. The platform had created huge awareness for Uvanes Vary and she been featured as fashion designer for a 13 episodes tamil TV show, named Azhagey which scheduled to be aired soon on National television early 2017. The shoot for Azhagey has been done in Malaysia and India. It was indeed a great exposure for Uvanes Vary among Malaysian artists. Inspired by the rich colours & diversified Indian culture, Uvanes Vary came out with an idea to present every part of India & its textile speciality to Malaysians. In the line, the next collections would be Banaras Brocades. Uvanes Vary had personally visited the ancient city Varanasi and handpicked all the fabrics from Banaras and created a range of Bridal & Occasion Wear. Creating 13 semi-bridal lehenga for the Rampwalk with the help of all the lovely souls from varanasi, jaipur, mumbai, Delhi & Malaysia, are the beauty secret of BANARAS BROCADE. UVANES VARY
