Why most people listen to music while running?

For some, running without music is a way to leave the tech at home and completely immerse themselves in their surroundings. Others love to pop their earbuds in and cruise along to their favourite tunes.

Of course, there are benefits to both, but if you’re part of the first group you may want to give listening to music a try. Check out these reasons why listening to music can improve your run:

1) Improves your Endurance

-Listening to music while you run can actually help you run longer. In his book Inside Sports Psychology, Dr. Coastas Karageoghis says having some tunes to rock out to as you run can increase your endurance by up to 15 per cent.

2) Makes solo long runs less monotonous

-Solo training runs sometimes get a little boring. When you’re heading out without a running buddy, a playlist of some of your favourite tracks can keep your mind occupied while the kilometres slip away.

‘I saw like millions of ways to cool down after exercise. I wonder which is the best and most effective one’

You can do cooldown exercises at the end of your workout to ease yourself out of strenuous activity.

Dedicate at least 10 minutes of your workout to cooling down. Read on to learn some of the best ways to do so. From here, you can choose the exercises that appeal to you the most and put them together to create your workout recovery and relaxation routine. Enjoy your reading:

1) Light jogging or walking
This is one of the most straightforward ways to cool down. Do 3 to 5 minutes of light jogging followed by 3 to 5 minutes of brisk or easy walking.

2) Upper body stretch

1. From a standing or seated position, interlace your fingers and press your palms up toward the ceiling.

2.Draw your hands up and back as far as you can while maintaining a straight spine.

3.Then place your left arm in front of your right and turn your palms to face each other, stretching your hands up and back.

4.Repeat on the opposite side.
