Sebagai contoh, kalau zaman dolu dolu, rakyat marhaen berkaki ayam dengan baju melayu menyambut hari raya, let them be. Rasa nak pakai kasut kulit? Pakai ler. Terasa nak pakai capal? Sarung je.

So im back to my wife’s hometown for Eid’s celebration. Then i saw this wild creature, lying around at the corner of the house, rotting away its life (or whatever’s left of it).

They were owned by my wife’s sibling. Bought them long long time ago from thrift shop (i suspect during the time when nobody gives a s**t about them, unlike now) for RM40. They were used as work shoes - potong rumput, bancuh simen, tanam pokok, mancing, etc etc)

Kinds breaks my heart to see them in this condition - they definitely have seen better days. When he was told about how kids nowadays go crazy for this pair and the current market price, he said “Welp, if only i knew. But they’ve served their purpose alright. 100% will do it again.”

And kids nowadays cry over creased toe box. And inflated Justin Bieber concert tickets by the resellers. While wearing Metallica or Slipknot shirts.

Getah sekerap.

I think they’re beautiful. I think they’re unique. Gotta admit, Dunk Scrap, they’re an acquire taste. Some may like the aesthetic look of this pair, some may hate them for the same reason.

Most, will hate them because of the weak resell value. Bricks. Only for this particular reason.

Then they called themselves sneakerheads, when all that matters to them is how much potential profit they can make by reselling shoes. The higher the profit may be, the more effort they put in hyping up the shoes.

After so long owning this pair, today I found out that this is not a pair of Blazers.

This is actually a pair of Nike Franchise High. Wtf nama kasut jadi franchise. Selama ni aku main palatao je nike blazer hahah noob.

Gave them a lace swap, hensem pulak pakai tali hitam.

So my wife asked me to find her a pair of Panda Dunk.

Got the pair, S/O to in my wife’s size. Thanks bro!

Now, lets move on to the shoes. The famous, “unbrickable” dunks as they said.

Quality wise, they’re s**t. Glue stains, well i have no qualm with that. But look at that uneven sole stitching. That, i cannot tahan.

Which begs the question, why most people bother searching high and low for Pandas totally beyond me. Saw a lot of reviews about them, mostly commenting the same regarding the quality.

But say what you want about Panda, they will still sold out, everywhere.

Unbrickable.
