I tried my hands on knitting for the first time! 🥳
After crocheting for a while, it never occurred to me that I'd have to learn knitting. I made the attempt with the knitting sticks given by a friend. It was very intimidating on the first few tries, because unlike crochet, I didn't know how to fix it if the yarn comes off the stick. I often tried using another set when there are new stitches occurring in the project.
But after I learnt the Continental style, I started to be more comfortable, and understood the pathways of the yarn, just like crochet. It's definitely a confidence booster seeing the beautiful classic cable stitch forming up nicely, and the stitches at the end finally look like some kind of neat pattern.
And yeah, this morning I drank my coffee in a cup with a cosy. ☕😁
