Has anyone else had this kind of experience as a seller? I want to share a lesson I learned as an online seller. Sometimes, even when your main product is perfect, a small issue with a free gift can turn into a full refund case if you’re not careful. I made the mistake of not setting a clear policy for free gifts and also clicked the wrong option during a dispute. The result? I lost the case — even though the purchased item was in perfect condition. Even after explaining the situation to the customer and offering to cover the shipping cost, they didn’t respond. In the end, the main item remained with them, and as a bonus, they got their money back. The customer agreed that the material was of good quality and in good condition. 🤷. I also received a customer return and refund because the material was not as dark in color as shown in the pictures. They returned the purchased item but kept the free gift. Why? I’m really curious. 🤔
In both cases, I, as the seller, had to pay the online platform fees. We all work hard with honesty, so let’s protect our business and learn from each case. Please don’t be greedy, as customers and sellers alike. We get what we give. 🙏🙏🙏
