Alhamdulillah, another proud milestone for Fuse Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s oud & fragrance industry.

For the first time in 9 years, the Advanced Oud-Based Perfumery Workshop was successfully held at MTIB from 9–11 April 2026, a rare and valuable platform for those ready to step into the art of perfumery.

Over 25 participants were introduced to the craft of building accords, fantasy accords, and bases, then challenged to transform their own creations into finished perfume formulas. From Rose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Orchid, and Magnolia accords to fougere, chypre, oriental, and leather bases, each participant explored the kind of creative discipline that shapes their own true perfume identity.

The workshop became even more significant with the attention of the Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi - KPK (Ministry of Plantation and Commodities). YB Minister Dato' Dr. Noraini Ahmad even set a special challenge for all participants: to create a perfume dedicated to her. A surprise visit by the Deputy Secretary General, YBhg. Dato' Razali Mohamad further underscored the importance of this initiative and the quality of the work produced.

Our deepest appreciation to the Malaysian Timber Industry Board for organizing this, evaluator panels Hamzainie Hamzah, Fayzi Omar and Diana Hadirin, and especially Melor Chan for the excellent coordination throughout the programme.

This workshop has became a gateway for passionate creators, brand builders, and future perfumers to learn, experiment, and build something truly remarkable with Malaysian oud.

Thank you all for making our initiative to promote Malaysian Oud & heighten our fragrance industry a step further. We hope that all participants will continue to create great fragrances and make Malaysia proud. Hope that Malaysian Timber Industry Board will continue their part in organizing such workshops, again.

Dusk Till Dawn

There is a certain beauty in Ramadhan nights.

When the sky darkens and the noise of the world fades, hearts quietly turn back to their Creator. From dusk till dawn, prayers are whispered, tears fall in silence, and the soul finds peace in surrender.

This fragrance was born from those sacred hours.

The night begins with a luminous breath of bergamot, cardamom and iris, delicate yet radiant like the calm after sunset.

Soon, the atmosphere deepens. Malaysian oud and incense rise gently, wrapping the air with a sacred stillness. It's the scent of devotion, reflection, and faith.

Many have asked: “What exactly is Fuse’s role in the local oud industry?”

As many of you might've known, we exist because the love of our national treasure, oud (Gaharu). We saw the industry is dying. National export value is decreasing year by year. Each day planters contacted us expressing their frustration of not knowing what to do, where to go and even how to market their ouds. So it hits us.

A thought came to mind: if you have a certain power to save our heritage's greatest national treasure, what will you do? What can we do? ....And the rest became history.

As for our ouds, here’s the straight truth: We curate it ourselves, we don’t buy ready made oud from suppliers. We source local agarwood, both wild harvested and plantation grown, we select the woods ourselves and oversee the entire extraction process. As ex-distillers, we set our own distillation parameters to ensure consistency in quality and scent across each batch.

Current capacity: up to 5 kg of oud oils per month.

How do you know it’s genuine Malaysian oud? Every bulk order from us comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an approved government body. We’re also backed by our local government agencies, our Management Authority for Agarwood and the Agarwood Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Association; and all shipments adhere fully to CITES permitting.

Our oud varieties include:

Khazanah – wild, complex, deeply multifaceted, deep woody, smoky and earthy, addictive

Imperial – a classic Malaysian Oud scent profile, bold and opulent with a slight animalic touch

Majestic – elegant and refined, a much smoother oud, sweet woody, soothing

Warisan – an animalic opening, timeless, rooted in heritage with a woody closure

We remain committed to showcasing the richness of Malaysian oud, integrity, and the thoughtful touch that defines Fuse Kuala Lumpur.
