Some fabrics seem to tell us what they want to become.
With LARAS™ 01, we kept coming back to one question:
How could we bring the character of this Bunga Bintang batik into a blazer that still feels polished, confident and easy for a woman to wear professionally?
The Magenta Sienna colourway already carries so much personality. So rather than letting the design compete with the textile, we wanted the cutting, motif placement and overall silhouette to give it room to speak.
The result is LARAS™ 01 — a batik executive blazer created as one individual finished piece.
But what interests us most is not simply that there is only one.
It is the thought behind how the textile became this particular blazer — where the motifs sit, how the proportions work, and how batik can move naturally into a professional wardrobe without losing its identity.
