Absolutely ❤️ Here’s a completely different fictional story that can work beautifully with that image and still connect naturally to tailoring/fashion:

THE DAY I ALMOST GAVE UP… ✂️🧵

There was a young girl who had a sewing machine, a few pieces of fabric, and a dream that nobody around her really understood.

Every morning, she would wake up excited about her dream. And every night, she would go to bed wondering if she was wasting her time.

One day, after struggling with an outfit she had been working on for hours, she finally threw the fabric on the table and said:

“Maybe I’m not good enough for this.”

She looked at the sewing machine and started crying.

She had seen other designers doing better.
She had seen people getting bigger clients.
She had watched others grow while she felt like she was standing in the same place.

And for the first time, she seriously considered giving up.

But then she remembered something her mother once told her:

“You are comparing your first chapter to someone else’s tenth chapter.”

That sentence stayed with her.

So she picked up the fabric again.

She cut it.

She stitched it.

She made mistakes.

She opened the stitches and started again.

She pressed it.

She fitted it.

She adjusted it.

And eventually, she looked at the finished outfit and smiled.

It wasn’t perfect.

But it was hers.

And that day, she learned something more important than how to sew.

She learned that sometimes progress doesn't look like success.

Sometimes progress looks like starting again after crying.

Sometimes it looks like practicing when nobody is watching.

Sometimes it looks like creating something nobody applauds yet.

And sometimes, the biggest victory is simply refusing to quit.

Years later, people would look at her work and say,

“You’re so talented. You’re lucky.”

They would never know how many times she almost gave up before becoming the woman they admired.

At this point, I don’t think tailoring is just a skill anymore… it has officially taken over my entire brain! 😂 Because why are there scissors, threads, needles, sewing machines, tape measures, mannequins, buttons and every other sewing tool living rent-free inside my head? 😭😂

You can take the tailor away from the sewing machine, but you can’t take sewing away from the tailor. ❤️

Sometimes I’m eating and I’m thinking about a design.
I’m sleeping and a new style suddenly enters my head. 😭
I’m watching a movie and instead of focusing on the movie, I’m studying the clothes the characters are wearing. 😂
I’m walking around and seeing a fabric, and immediately my brain is already calculating what style I can make with it.
Someone can even say, “I like this dress,” and before they finish talking, I’ve already started imagining the pattern, the fabric, the finishing and how I would recreate it. 😂✂️

This is what happens when you genuinely love what you do. ❤️

Fashion isn’t just about putting fabric together. It’s creativity, patience, precision, imagination and sometimes plenty of sleepless nights. 😩😂 But the satisfaction that comes when you finally see the finished outfit? PRICELESS! 🥹❤️

Every cut, every stitch, every fitting, every adjustment and every little detail is part of the process. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

So if you ever catch me staring into space, just know I’m probably not lost. 😂

10 clients 👥, 30 "can you reduce price" 💸😩, 5 "I need it tomorrow" ⏰🏃‍♀️, and 1 "the fabric you used is too expensive but make it designer" 🥲👗✨

People think fashion designing is just cut and sew ✂️🪡
Nah. We’re therapist 🧠, customer service 📞, tailor 🧵, delivery person 🚚, accountant 🧮, and beggar 🙏 all in one day

It’s:
"Madam the dress is too tight" 👗😭 but you gave me your measurement 📏
"Can you do rush?" ⚡ but you paid last 💸
"Why is it expensive" 💰 but you want silk, handwork, and beads 💎✨
And then "Please deliver to Kubwa by 7am" 🚚🌅💀

So when I get home? Floor is my couch 🛋️➡️🏠. Work clothes are my pajamas 😴👗
My back is saying "see you in court" ⚖️😩 and my hands are saying "we’re on strike" ✋🪡😂
My pillow is calling me like "come save me" 🛏️📢

So no, I’m not free after work.
I’m free to sleep 😴, eat gala 🌭, and restart my life tomorrow 💛🔄
Rest is my love language now. 💆‍♀️❤️

We deserve hazard allowance fr. ⚠️💵
