As we prepare for our new collection, we will be throwing back to our previous collections more often. We will be also taking you on the journey of the making process of our new collection, how our pieces are made and why. We are inviting you into our craft and the art of making……..
For this collection AFRICA INTERSECTS THE ORIENT which was presented Kaduna Fashion & Arts Festival , we merged the Asian and African world together, telling the stories of their growing relationship. Notably fabrics used in these collection were pole imagery silk, our wool handwoven fabrics, laces and nets.

The Kumaashe fabric of the Tiv people which the name literally translates as ‘fits the eyes’ is a monochromatic stripes and check handwoven fabric of the Tiv people.
The horizon/bold white stripes usually ends at the hem of the fabrics before the fringes. We recreated by weaving the horizontal stripes to fall 7inches apart from the next one across the fabric…..
We took it upon ourselves to modernize the our traditional handwoven fabrics, giving them new and exciting appeal but still maintaining the the cultural and historical background of these fabrics
