One sweet thing about being both a tailor and a fashion teacher is that your wardrobe will never run dry.

You’ll always have something to wear even from class practicals.

This red skirt, Made during one of our classes.

Now, let me confess I’m a die-hard straight skirt fan. Six pieces and mermaids look cute, but hmm… wearing them is another story.

On my birthday, I didn’t even stress. I just grabbed this red skirt and matched it with a corset we used for class practicals. The cup was bigger than my bust but who cares, I still rocked it with full confidence.

Meanwhile, I have some six pieces Ankara skirts chilling in my office because they’re not really my thing.

And the downside of teaching with fabric, is that you will always end up with outfits you’ll normally not wear.

But honestly, I love it. Teaching fashion design is the real dream for me.

Sometimes I think of using smaller measurements for my projects, but when I remember the fabric involved, I just kukuma use my own size. At least I get to slay in my classwork.
