OBIOMA

The term “Obioma” comes from the indigenous

Igbo group of Eastern Nigeria. After losing the

Biafran Civil War that lasted from 1967 to 1970,

the Igbo people got to work.


They carried sewing machines on top of their

heads while walking around the community

mending people's clothes.

But now we have online OBIOMA who are not

just mending clothes but also giving great

designs to people.

We all have little or more struggles when

STEAM PRESS

I got a stoning job and I wasn't even informed that a steam press is necessary....

Case 1: Who has noticed that stones don't stay on dresses again like before. No matter the amount of heat the iron is giving......it still won't stick well.

Case 2 : Not all irons can be used for stoning dresses 😂 I bet you didn't know about that..

Come kulosa, some irons will just get spoilt at the sight of stones because they have large holes where the steam comes from and the stones enters the hole doing hide and seek🤣🤣

Case 3: I recommend Rowenta Generator Iron they have little holes and lots of it. You need an iron with lots of holes but little hole size that stones can't do I see you😂😬

It has adequate steam that can hold it to the dress but again to avoid falling off

Flash news you still need a steam press🙃

Alot are confused because some machines arrange the stone and fix to the dress that's worth millions

But I am here to tell you steam press/ stoning machine/heat transfer is needed for any stoning work.

Below are pictures of various steam press/ heat transfer that can do stoning work,transfer of stickers on cloth, dry cleaners use it to fold dress and alot more.

What is a dress without a zipper.
Zippers are the bedrocks of fitted dresses.
A well placed zipper can give a snatching effect to a dress.

This is what we call Small pepper like Ilebaye of BBN but at the end she became a real deal.

Imagine a well constructed garment and the only issue making that dress not presentable is the Zipper.

Zipper placing shouldn't be rushed, take your time and with zippers the adage of practice makes perfect helps the journey....

As basic as hand stitches are, it must be learnt because no aspect of fashion is useless...alot of decorative stitches to give a dress great finishing
