If Your Heart is Unsaved, Your Tongue is Untamed.ππππ
Yesterday, I had the privilege of listening to a powerful sermon that shed light on the profound connection between our hearts and our tongues. The preacher's words resonated deeply, and I felt compelled to share this vital message with you.
The Bible teaches us that "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Luke 6:45). You know what this means? It means that our words are a reflection of what's in our hearts. If our hearts are unsaved, our tongues will be untamed, speaking words that can hurt, damage, and even destroy.
Our tongues have the power to build up or tear down. A single careless word can crush someone's spirit, leading to low self-esteem, anxiety, or even depression.πππ On the other hand, a well-chosen word can uplift, encourage, and bring hope.π―β
The preacher connected it with the family system. In our families, husbands and wives should be mindful of their words, especially during difficult moments. A gentle, loving word can ease tension and bring healing. Parents, too, should be careful not to lash out at their children with hurtful words,π₯Ίπ₯Ί which can have long-lasting effects.
As we reflect on the heart-tongue connection, let's make a conscious effort to be change-makers in our own little corners.ππ Let's learn to be careful with our speech, choosing words that uplift, encourage, and bring hope.π€²π€²π€²π€²
Let's practice mindful speaking by pausing before we speak, speaking from a place of love, and practicing mindful listening. By being mindful of our words and their impact, we can create a more positive, supportive, and loving environment for those around us.
