Behind everyone who shows up for their business every single day is someone who chose not to quit, even when the spirit was willing but the body was tired.

Some days, the motivation won’t be there. Some days, the results may not come. Some days, you’ll question if it’s even worth it.

But keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep pushing.

Because one day, the consistency you almost gave up on will become the success you prayed for.

Don’t quit. Your story is still being written.

“She’s very good… and she’s cheap.”

Those were the words a fashion designer overheard one day when a potential customer was being referred to her.

At first, she smiled.

After all, a referral is a referral, right?

But as she listened, something didn’t sit right.

The person wasn’t talking about her creativity.
She didn’t mention her neat finishing.
She didn’t mention how she pays attention to measurements.
She didn’t mention how she can turn an ordinary fabric into something beautiful.

The only thing she emphasized was:

“Her price is cheap.”

And suddenly, the designer understood something.

People had been coming to her because she was good AND affordable.

But somewhere along the line, “affordable” had become the only thing people remembered.

The next customer came with a completely different mindset.

Instead of asking, “What kind of designs does she make?”

She asked:

“How cheap can you make this?”

That was when the designer realized that sometimes, the way people introduce your business can shape the value others place on you.

Yes, being affordable is a beautiful advantage.

But if someone refers you by saying, “Go to her, she is cheap,” they may unintentionally make the new customer see your work as cheap too.

And there is a BIG difference between affordable and cheap.

Affordable says:

“She gives you great value without making you break the bank.”

Cheap can sound like:

“Don’t expect too much; she doesn’t cost much.”

As a fashion designer, you need people to know that your price is not the only reason they should patronize you.

Let them know about your skill.
Your creativity.
Your attention to detail.
Your finishing.
Your customer service.
Your ability to bring their vision to life.

And if you are an upcoming fashion designer, please learn this early:

Stop building your brand around being the cheapest. Build it around being worth the price.

You can be affordable without making “cheap” your identity.

You can offer competitive prices without apologizing for your value.

And when someone refers you, let them say:

“She is talented.”
“Her work is neat.”
“She understands what her clients want.”
“She is creative.”
“She delivers.”
“And her prices are reasonable.”

Notice the difference?

Price should be part of your story—not the whole story.

Because one day, you may increase your prices as your skills, experience and business grow.

If people only know you as “the cheap designer,” they may leave when your price changes.

But if they know you as the designer who delivers quality, they will understand that your price is connected to your value.

So, dear upcoming fashion designer:

Don’t compete to be the cheapest.
Compete to be unforgettable.

Give people a reason to say your name even when your price is no longer the lowest.

Be affordable if you can.
But never let “cheap” become your brand.

Don’t put me in a box because you’ve seen me make beautiful Aso-Ebi and bridal outfits.

Yes, I love creating stunning Aso-Ebi and bridal looks, and I’m proud of the work I do in that space. But trust me, that’s not all these hands can create!

I can make corporate outfits, casual pieces, classy dresses, jackets, skirts, trousers, and so much more. My creativity doesn’t end with bridal or Aso-Ebi.

Sometimes, when people see what you do well, they assume that’s the only thing you can do. But there’s so much more behind the scenes.

So, if you’ve been wondering whether I can make something outside Aso-Ebi and bridal… challenge me!

Bring your fabric. Bring your style. Show me that outfit you have in mind, and let me bring it to life.

I’m not just an Aso-Ebi/bridal designer. I’m a fashion designer with range.

No more keeping that fabric in the wardrobe! 😂
Bring it out and let’s turn it into something beautiful.

Self-Belief Is the Beginning of Every Success Story

Every success story starts long before the applause, the awards, or the recognition. It begins with one simple decision: choosing to believe in yourself.

There will be seasons when no one understands your vision. People may question your ideas, overlook your efforts, or doubt your abilities. Some may even tell you that your dreams are too big or impossible.

But remember this: you don’t need everyone’s belief to get started—you only need your own.

Self-belief gives you the courage to take the first step when the path is unclear. It gives you the strength to keep going when progress feels slow. It reminds you that every expert was once a beginner, and every successful person faced moments of uncertainty.

Don’t let fear, comparison, or criticism stop you from becoming who you’re meant to be. The journey may be difficult, but every small step you take today is building the success you’ll celebrate tomorrow.

Believe in your potential. Trust the process. Stay consistent. Keep learning. Keep showing up.

One day, the same people who doubted you may become the ones celebrating your achievements.

Your success story begins the moment you decide to believe in yourself.

There was a time you prayed for the very life you’re living today.

You prayed for that opportunity, that business, that relationship, that breakthrough, that platform. You asked God for open doors and bigger responsibilities.

Then it happened.

But somewhere along the journey, the excitement faded. The dream that once kept you awake at night slowly became your routine. What you once celebrated now feels ordinary, and the passion that burned so brightly seems to have disappeared.

That’s the funny thing about life—sometimes we become so familiar with our blessings that we forget they were once prayers.

If you’re feeling tired or unmotivated, don’t mistake familiarity for failure. Just because the excitement has faded doesn’t mean the purpose is gone.

Take a moment today to remember where you started. Remember the tears, the waiting, the hope, and the faith it took to get here. Let gratitude reignite your passion.

Success isn’t just about reaching the destination; it’s about showing up consistently even after the applause dies down. The people who achieve great things aren’t always the most talented—they’re the ones who keep going when the feelings fade.

So if you’ve lost your zeal, don’t give up.

Rest if you need to.
Reflect if you must.
Pray again.
Refocus.
Then get back to work.

Your current reality is someone’s prayer point, and your future still holds more than you’ve imagined.

Keep pushing. Keep believing. Keep building. Your best days are still ahead. ❤️

Question: What’s one thing you’re grateful for today that you once prayed for? Share it in the comments and let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness together. 🙏💕
