THE LIGHTER & CANDLE GUM DAYS
Before I could even afford a glue gun, I was melting glue sticks with a lighter and a candle. I still have a physical scar on my lap from where the hot wax dripped and burnt me one night. Back then, my work station was just my room, and I was just a girl with candle gum and a big dream. I wondered if anyone would ever pay for my handwork.
The shift happened when I stopped treating this like a hobby and started treating it like a business. I traded the candle gum for professional tools and started buying quality crinoline and I involved beaded accessories. I would stay up all night mastering the perfect Turbanator fold and learning how to make a fascinator sit perfectly without falling off. I decided I wasn't just making hats; I was building a brand.
