I once went to the market to purchase materials for a client and he asked that pictures of the said fabric be sent to him, I obliged my android phone said otherwise. 😂

That was when I realized I really needed an iPhone or even a better android phone like the Samsung S series.

For someone, you think it’s just “phone”… until business starts suffering.
A good phone is not for flexing — it’s a working tool.

Because in this tailoring business, your phone is your:

Camera, to capture your neat finishing and attract new clients, office where customers send styles, measurements, and payments, a marketing manager, posting your work, replying to DMs, closing deals, a record keeper for tracking orders, deadlines, and client details, a showroom where people see your work before they ever meet you.

Imagine missing a client because your phone hangs…
Or losing a design because your storage is full…
Or sending blurry pictures that don’t do justice to your work…

That’s not small loss, that’s business leakage.

THE REAL REASON TAILORS REQUEST MORE TIME

There is a story tailors never tell, but let me tell it today… ✂️

A customer once brought a beautiful fabric to a tailor and said:

“I need it in two days. I trust you.”

The tailor looked at the fabric…
Soft… delicate… easily damaged…
A style that needed structure, precision, and careful finishing.

But because he didn’t want to disappoint, he said:
“Okay, no problem.”

That night, as he started working, PHCN struck.
Light disappeared like rapture.
Generator refused to co-operate.
Kerosene finished halfway through the ironing.
Rain started falling like it had a personal issue with him.

He looked at the fabric…
A single mistake would ruin it.
A wrong cut and the style won’t balance.
One rush and the lining would shift.
One wrong press and the entire work is gone.

Tailoring is not like selling pure water.
You can’t rush it.
You can’t guess it.
You can’t “manage it.”
Your name is on every stitch.

People think tailors ask for more time because of delay.
But the truth is deeper:

Delicate fabrics require slow and steady handling
Some styles need hours of careful shaping and ironing
Electricity can scatter all your well-planned timing

Let me tell you a short story…

Chidera was one of the best tailors in his area—at least that’s what people said.
His stitches were clean, his finishing neat, and his customers never complained loudly.

But slowly… silently… the complaints began to whisper behind his back.

One day, a long–time client stopped coming.
Another said he would “get back to him.”
A third quietly took his cloth and never returned.
