LETS TALK ABOUT CHOOSING THE RIGHT BACKGROUND FOR YOUR PICTURES!!

When you're a fashion designer, taking great pictures of your designs is crucial, even if you're using your phone. Keep these things in mind before you take the photos, whether you're modeling the designs yourself or using a model

To portray my points,I’m going to be sharing with you pictures I took in 3 different locations and highlight each point judging with the background,just so you could understand better.

1.Define your brand identity: Determine your brand's style and the impression you want to make, which will guide your background choice.

2.Analyze your outfits: Take into account the colors, patterns, and textures of your designs to choose a background that complements them .

-Donot choose a background that competes for attention with your outfit,that way attention is shared,your viewers may not even remember to look at your dress because there are so many things to focus on🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

-if your design have a lot of colours or patterns,choose a Solid background that contrasts with your outfit to make them stand out.

-Make sure the background complements the style and aesthetic of your brand. If your designs are uncomplicated,Elegant and modern, you might want to opt for a clean, simple background

In conclusion,don’t let the background steal the show!!

A blazer is a very versatile and timeless piece that can instantly elevate any outfit. It adds a touch of polish and sophistication to any outfit and pairs well with a variety of items.

Today I’m going to be teaching you how to pair your blazer jacket with different wears to improve and increase your steezeee😂;

-JEANS;
For a casual or chic look,pairing with a short jean or even a bumshort would make you look sexy but with class,no room to look cheap! Then pairing with a longer pant gives you this matured and classy look.

-PENCIL SKIRT :
For a professional yet feminine office ensemble,church outfits ,Infact pencil skirt with a blazer just gives this cooperate look of “I am what I say I am”😌you Gerrit??

-LITTLE BLACK DRESS:
To create an elegant evening look,outing etc

-SLIM PANTS:
To create a sleek and modern outfit,this can also work for a professional outfit giving you that elegant and sophisticated look.

-STATEMENT JEWELLERY :
e.g is the bead on my neck, it adds a pop of color and contrast to a neutral blazer.

-PRINTED SCARF:
To add visual interest and texture.This particular look is for fashionable ladies,Fashionable because it makes you look extra,you need to know what kind of scarf to tie,where to tie it and how to tie it.

You all know that my choice of colour plays a major role in my outfits😊who would have believed I went to the market having in mind to buy a burnt orange colour,but when I saw this stunning colour😩😩oh my!!it was calling me!

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOURS FOR YOUR OUTFIT!!

I promised to discuss this topic in my last Sunday post. Initially, I didn't know where to begin, as it's a broad subject. But since many people expressed interest, I decided to tackle it bit by bit. Let's start with key factors to consider when selecting colors for your clothes;

1.Know Your Undertones;

Determine if you have warm, cool, or neutral undertones. If you'd prefer me to explain undertones in more detail, let me know in the comments.

2.Consider Contrast;

Choose colors that create contrast with your skin tone for a flattering look. For example, if you have fair skin, consider wearing darker shades, and if you have dark skin, lighter shades can provide contrast.

3.Test Colors;

Experiment with different fabric colors in natural light to see how they interact with your skin tone. Some colors may appear different once worn, so testing is crucial.

4.Stick to Your Palette🛞 ;

Remember that colour wheel from secondary school?well it’s time to put it to good use.understanding that colour wheel(primary,secondary and tertiary colours )goes a long way to knowing what colours to match and Build your wardrobe around a color palette that works well with your complexion. If you’ve forgotten and need a refresher on the color wheel ,please let me know in the comments.

5.Accessorize Wisely:

Add pops of color with accessories like scarves, belts, and jewelry without overwhelming your complexion. Experiment to find what works best for you.

6.Consider Occasion and Season:

Choose colors appropriate for the occasion and season. Bright, vibrant colors suit summer, while deeper, richer hues are more suitable for fall and winter.

7.Trust Your Instincts:

Ultimately, wear colors that make you feel confident and comfortable. Trust your instincts and choose colors that reflect your personal style and mood.

7.Monochrome Outfits are Underrated:

Wearing the same color from head to toe creates a striking and elegant look, especially when wearing the right color. Every skin tone can wear monochromatic outfits and still look unique.

8.Consider Your Intentions:

Think about your desired outcome. If you enjoy extra elements in your outfits like me 🤭,incorporate a pop of color or unique detail. For a more subtle look, stick to a simpler color palette.

-SELF-AWARENESS : Take some time to reflect on your preferences, lifestyle, and personality. Consider what makes you feel confident and comfortable.

-EXPERIMENTATION: Try out different styles, silhouettes, and colors to see what resonates with you. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and explore new looks or colours(don’t dwell on wearing dark colours all the time)

-BODY SHAPE AND ANALYSIS:Understand your body shape and proportions to find clothing that flatters your figure. Identify your body type (e.g., pear, apple, hourglass) and learn which styles are most flattering for you.

-DRESS FOR YOUR PROPORTIONS:Choose clothing that highlights your best features and balances your proportions.why do you think I barely wear A-line dresses🤷‍♀️.For example, if you have a smaller waist,opt for styles that cinch in at the waist to create definition.Another tip is;Follow Fashion models or Fashionable celebrities that you have your kind of body features,their style and outfit’s should inspire you,Don’t copy!!Do you!!

-TAILORING:Take it or leave it,Tailoring is more Economical.Invest in tailoring to ensure that your clothing fits you perfectly, Even inexpensive pieces can look polished and stylish when tailored to fit your body shape.

-COMFORT and CONFIDENCE:Prioritize comfort and confidence when selecting clothing. If you feel good in what you're wearing, you'll exude confidence and style effortlessly.

-SIGNATURE PIECES:Identify key pieces that reflect your personal style and incorporate them into your wardrobe. These signature pieces can help define your style identity and make getting dressed easier.

-EDIT and REDEFINE:Regularly review your wardrobe and assess what works for you. Keep items that make you feel great and consider letting go of pieces that no longer align with your style or fit.

IF YOU’RE A STUDENT THAT ALSO DOES BUSINESS,then don’t scroll, this post is for you…

Here are few things I do that helps me balance my bussiness and Academic life without failing in either way;

-Prioritize tasks: I Identify and prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance,
Almost every morning or before I retire to bed,I Make a to-do list for the day and another for the month just so I can meet up to deadlines.

-Setting Realistic goals:Personally I don’t like pressure(though it naturally comes with my profession),I try to set realistic and achievable goals for both my business and academic pursuits so I don’t breakdown myself.

-Time management: Allocate specific times for studying, attending classes, and working on your business,I know and I’ve come to the conclusion that both aspects of my life needs Full attention but I also know they both need each other to survive 😄

-Communication: Communicate with your Course Rep,classmates(so they don’t think you’re unserious) and also your clients about your schedule and commitments,just speak up atleast…

-Stay healthy,Eat well and ask God for help so you don’t Run mad😂
