This time reshaped my passion and understanding of gatherings. Also through my work in the school system and years of community building, I’ve seen the power of people coming together without expectation.
In a world where we’re connected to causes but disconnected from one another, lifestyle and technology have turned many interactions into transactions. Physical connection now comes with expectations results, visibility, return. We’re conditioned to ask what do I get before what can I give.
When we gather without expectation, resources and knowledge flow naturally. Focus is sustained. People step into their roles. Community becomes functional, not performative.
I’m excited for this next chapter. Yes we’ll party, rage, sweat, and shake ass, sharing rhythm and space. But this time, we let intention lead instead of our recurring, disassociating routines. I believe this new wave of self-independence matters not just the power of self, but the power of self within community. What we bring to the table, what we share, and the impact that happens when gatherings are uninterrupted and intentional.
