MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)

Date: 3RD SEPTEMBER 2026

TOPIC : THE BLESSINGS, THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM AND THE BLESSING
⚓Scripture : Galatians 3: 14. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Yesterday, we introduce the theme of the month as the Mystery of The Blessing that serves as key to open doors! Today, we shall be looking at definition of three concepts that sounds alike , look similar but have different meaning for us to gain thorough understanding of the concept of the Mystery of the Blessing that serves as key to open doors. The three basic concepts are the blessings, the blessing of Abraham and The Blessing.

*What is the blessings?*
I. The blessings are general blessings from the Lord to mankind. For example, the air we breathe! Everyone that breath on earth will understand that the air we breath is a blessing from God. If God should cut off the oxygen supply from the air we breath, many lives with be destroyed within a short time. The same applies to water which is also the blessings of God. It is only few things that can survive without water for extended periods of time! So God made water available both for our drinking, cooking and other uses. Similarly, the rainfall and the sun shine are all blessings from God (Matt.5:45) etc. The blessings of God is universal wether you acknowledge God as creator or not, you can still enjoy it. It is limited to a particular geographical position.
It is often presented in plural form because they are many.

*What is the blessing of Abraham?*
II. The blessing of Abraham is justification by faith. The Bible said:
*Galatians 3: 8. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.*

Observe the clause 'in thee shall all nations be blessed "
The nations the Bible talk about here is the belivers in Christ that come into force in Christ Jesus. Hence the Bible said:
*Galatians 3: 29. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.*

So, the gospel was preached to Abraham, he believed and he was justified! Even so everyone that believe the gospel are likewise justified:
*Galatians 3: 7. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.*

Beloved saints of the most High, we are children of Abraham and the blessing of Abraham is our portion.
It is therefore safe for us to say the blessing of Abraham is the gracious heavenly gift that Abraham received as part of God’s plan to create a new nation on earth. And you and I are part of that nation geographical position not withstanding. In Christ Jesus we are one irrespective of your race or gender.

*What is The Blessing?*
III. The Blessing is usually represented in singular form, because it is a singular force that is responsible for success and progress. It is also called the promise of the Spirit(Gal.3:14) hence it is sponsored by the Holy Spirit. The Blessing is a dimension of the operation of the Holy Spirit that makes your life look like the garden of Eden. In other words The Blessing is a singular force that transform your life by attracting the following:
A. Men
B. Circumstances
C. Opportunities.

*What is the relationship between the blessing of Abraham and The Blessing?*
The relationship between the blessing of Abraham and The Blessing is this; the blessing of Abraham is the bridge that connects every man to The Blessing. The Bible said:
*Galatians 3: 14. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.*

Please observed the clause "That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ" ! This implies that the blessing of Abraham coming to us is an usher that leads us into the real stuff which is The Blessing! Now take a look at the clause "that we might receive the promise of the Spirit"! That promise of the Spirit is The Blessing and without the blessing of Abraham the door remains closed to us from accessing The Blessing! What opens the door for us to receive The Blessing is the blessing of Abraham, and this happened because of Christ. So when we believed the gospel of Jesus, we were justified by faith and can now receive the promise of the Spirit, which is The Blessing. To ignore Christ is attempting to cross a river without a bridge or boat. This quickly makes our salvation in Christ the only ladder to connect your life to the tap of The Blessing. Remember, the promise was to the Jews, but Christ collapsed the wall of separation (Eph.2:14), both Jews and Gentiles can now access The Blessing in Christ Jesus.

TOPIC : INTRODUCTION TO THE MYSTERY OF THE BLESSING- THE KEY TO OPEN DOORS
⚓Scripture : Genesis 1: 28. *And God blessed them* , and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We give thanks and praise to God Almighty for sending us His word all through the month of August,. We have discovered all through the month of August the God that appears to be unknown to many persons can be known! We have seen that God can be known as we study jHis nature, His character His ways and the persons of Jesus Christ.

Now what is the Holy Ghost saying for the month of September?
We understand from scriptures that there are blessings of various categories giving to mankind. There are blessings that comes upon both the good and the bad, the righteous and the unrighteousness. However, there's one unique one termed THE BLESSING which is a mystery force that affects every other aspect of man's life. When it comes upon a man it empowered his destiny for success, glory and beauty. So it is a mystery force that magnetize abundance of resources towards the man!
Just like Jesus said:
*Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:...*

Although it is a mystery to many but to us, it is given to us to know the mystery of the kingdom and one of this mystery is THE BLESSING which is a key that secure open doors.

We understand also from the scripture that this mystery - *"The Blessing"* is a spiritual force that came upon the first man at creation that crowns him, beautified him empowered him to success and victory (Gen.1:28). This force came last to preserve and pushes the man forward into the progress and program of God for him. Every destiny that will succeed and be glorious on earth must be empowered by this force called The Blessing. The blessing is older than any curse and as such it is the cure for every curses!

*What are the characteristics of this mystery called The Blessing?*
It has the following characteristics :
I. The Blessing can not be destroyed, hence it can travel from generation to generation.
II. The Blessing is what makes rich (Prov.10:22)
III. The Blessing is the preserver of riches (Prov.10:22)
IV. The Blessing is what terminate sorrows, shame, mockery and insult
V. It's power is rooted in heavenly places Eph. 1:3
VI. The Blessing is the atmospheric changer (Gen. 32:28-29)
VI. The Blessing terminate bad smell, i.e., it gives favour instead of bad luck (Gen.27:27)

Please note that there are men who are custodian of The Blessing. God gave them The Blessing and they distribute it on behalf of God! They are like transformer that trapped down high voltage and distribute it to various houses. So, when you pray to be blessed, God will direct you to them or bring them to you by all means, you will not ignore them to be blessed. And there are instances when God will raise a man, invest upon the man so that he will in turn become a channel of The Blessing.

The first recipient of The Blessing is Adam (Gen.1:28) and it was not long the blessing was withdrawn from the earth and what follows was judgment that happened in the days of Noah. The judgment came in form of flood that wiped out all human race except Noah and his family. And God has to bring back the blessing again.
*Genesis 9: 1. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.*

And then it was not long, The Blessing was transferred to a man who will later be a channel for transferring The Blessing to the entire world, his name is Abraham:
*Genesis 12: 2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.*

*When do you need The Blessing?*
A. Any time you sense delay
B. When you are experiencing disfavour or bad luck
C. When your helper suddenly pick offence at you
D. When there is a strange attack on your health
E. When you are in troubles
F. When in need of key to open doors

Beloved, it is of no doubt that you surely need The Blessing! Therefore, our theme for the month of September is THE MYSTERY OF THE BLESSING KEY TO OPEN DOORS! So join us as we journey through the Bible in partnership with the Holy Spirit while looking at the monarch of the universe to beam His light upon us such that at the end we shall literally become a specimen of The Blessing. You will richly be blessed as you stick to us on this platform Moment of Daily Encounter.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real! The decision to spend eternity with God is best made now, so give your heart to Jesus today.

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)
Date: 1ST SEPTEMBER 2026

TOPIC : OUT OF THEM SHALL PROCEED THANKSGIVING
⚓Scripture :Jeremiah 30: 19. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We give thanks and praise to God Almighty who has made it possible for us to see the end of August! We welcome you to the first day of September the first month in the list of " *ember* " months, the last quarter of the year 2026. And as our custom is on Moment of Daily Encounter we dedicate the first day to give thanks to God hence our focus today is THANKSGIVING.

From our anchor scripture we are informed that out of them shall proceed thanksgiving(Jer.30:19)! Who are the people that thanksgiving should proceed from?
Simply the children of God who are now the believers in Christ Jesus.
*Why should thanksgiving proceed from us?*
Because God deserve our thanks and He wants us to live a life of thanksgiving. God wants us to live a lifestyle of thanksgiving daily! Infact it should be a daily life style. Every day look for something to thank God for, don't wait for a special day before you give thanks. We are only reminding ourselves here on a monthly basis.

*A quick reminder of this God that deserves our thanks*
I. He is Jehovah Jireh(Gen.22:14): Jireh means the great provider! Everyone needs air to survive! The content of air that made it possible to sustain life on earth is oxygen! So, take away oxygen from air, and it becomes useless to man. Yet Jehovah Jireh provides sufficient air for the billions of population of people on earth and non lack air at any time. If we're to pay for the oxygen we have consumed since the year began till now, we would not have been able to pay. Every day, God provides foods and water, which many of us don't value! You can stay without food for certain days but not without water. All the water you have been consuming since the year began was provided for by Jehovah Jireh the great provider! Hence He deserves our thanks!

II. He is Jehovah El-Shaddai(Gen.17:1): The El-Shaddai means the Almighty God, the mighty breasted one, the one with a breast milk that is sufficient for every one to suck. The entire humanity can suck from this breast, yet it is inexhaustible! He has kept us alive feeding us since January till now. Don't you think this God deserves our thanks?

Peradventure, you are asking why should I thanksgiving proceed from me to God, or what I'm I thanking God for? When my expectations for the year are yet unfulfilled? Well I have listed out some of the reasons why you should give thanks to God:
I. It is commanded for us to give thanks and praises to God! The Bible said:
*Psalm 150: 6. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.*
As long as you are still breathing this command is for you, to praise God continually.

II. Thanksgiving should proceed to God because of the gift of life He has given us:
*Isaiah 38: 18. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. 19. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.*

Those who have gone into the grave cannot praise God, So now that you have the opportunity to praise God, do it now because the dead cannot praise God. Give Him thanks with understanding.

III. Thanksgiving should proceed from you to God because you could sleep and wake up every day:
*Psalm 3: 5. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.*

So many people don't know that sleeping and waking up every day is a miracle! Some went to bed and never wake up but that you could sleep alone is a miracle, then waking up is another miracle! So God deserves your thanks for sleeping and waking up daily.

IV. *Thanksgiving should proceed from you to God because thanksgiving has a multiplier effect (Jn. 6:5-13):* Jesus gave thanks for five loaves of bread and two fishes and it multiply to feed five thousand! So as you give thanks for whatever is remaining in your life now, expect a multiplication! That little seeds in your hands will not die if you can thank God for it. Are you trusting God for baby, thank God because you still have a womb that can carry a baby or has your womb be remove thank God you are still alive.

Beloved, I don't know what you have lost within the year or past months? Is it your job, your business, your means of livelihood, your loved ones or a precious relationship?Whatever it is that you have lost, God is the reason why you did not lost your life, God is the reason why you did not lost every thing! So He deserves your thanks! Settle down this morning and give thanks with a heart of gratitude to God.

The Bible said it is a good thing to give thanks unto theLORD...(Psalm 92: 1).
Today, being the first day of September, the commencement of the "EMBER" months! I want you to bring out a quality time just to thank God for the year so far and thank God for the new month!

*How do you give thanks?*
It is with a grateful heart with singing and with an offering. Show to God that you are grateful today.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real, and hell is real. The choice we made now determined where we shall spend eternity. Give your heart to Jesus today!
*Prayer points:*
~ Father thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I receive grace to thank you again and again for your mercy over my life so far accept my thanks in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
~ I prophesy the God of Divine preservation will preserve you all through this month and the entire Ember months in the name of Jesus.
~ Your life is excused from calamity and disaster in the name of Jesus
~May your life be a specimen of signs and wonders all through this month in Jesus's name.

*Assignment:* Set a time apart to give thanks unto the LORD today.

TOPIC: YOU CAN KNOW GOD BY KNOWING JESUS CHRIST (PART 2)
⚓Scripture: John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Beloved, Welcome to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In continuation of what we started yesterday on knowing God by knowing Jesus Christ as we close out on the theme of the month 'KNOWING THE UNKNOWN GOD OF HEAVEN". Today, our focus is to examine how we can know Jesus Christ.

Jesus came not just to give us life alone(Jn.10:10;Lk.19:10) but also to reveal God to mankind(Jn.1:18, 1Jn.5:20)! There were many things assumed to be God that was never God until Jesus came. His coming brought light to humanity about whom is this God that seems unknown to many. The Bible said:
*John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.*

Since Jesus came to reveal God, knowing Jesus, therefore, is knowing God of creation. Every effort necessary must be put on to know Jesus.

*What does it mean to know Jesus?*
To know Jesus means to have personal relationship with Him. There are those who know his name or knows little about His ability but there are also those who know Him intimately because of their personal relationship with Jesus. He desires everyone of us to know Him intimately that's why our scripture says (Jn.17:3). Jesus said:
*John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*

Here Jesus is saying follow me as the way and you will arrive at meeting with the father. There's no other way to meet with God except Jesus (Acts.4:12).

*So what does it take to know Jesus?*
It involves three steps:
I. Salvation which is the foundation: This is the new birth experience that happens by placing your faith on the finished work of Christ, confess His Lordship over your life according to the scripture:
*Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.*

This is where many believers stopped in their quest to know God. If all that you know about Jesus is just salvation experience as beautiful as it were, yet there are many aspects of the kingdom life you will not be able to enjoy victory! That's why your quest for Jesus must be taken further. Then comes the second steps.
II. Develop a heart of love for Jesus. If you don't develop passionate heart of love for Jesus, very soon you will soon be tired of pursuing God. But when His love burns in your heart like the Psalmist said:
*Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?*

Once there's passion for Jesus then comes the third step
III. Develop intimacy with Him: This is taking your relationship with Jesus personal. You don't just believe He can saved, He has power or what He can do rather you choose make Him your friend, you develop an intimate relationship with Him such that you can now discovered whom this Jesus is to you. This will entails the following:
A. Fellowship where you sing and worship God, and study the Bible. As you begin to study the synoptic account of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John you will have a clear picture of the personality of Jesus, His ministry and His ways of operation.
B. Prayer: This is very vital in developing intimacy with Jesus because if you are not in talking terms with Jesus, you cannot build intimacy with Him. You must constantly talk to Him in prayer and also allow Him to talk back by listening to His voice. I am sure many of us pray but most of our prayers is simply one way communication where we only talk to God and never allow Him to talk back because we have not trained ourselves to listen to the voice of God. Please understand today that just thesame you are talking to God, He also desires to talk with you. Jesus affirmed this, when He said:
*John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:*

We must therefore cultivate the habit of speaking and listening when we come to the place of prayer. Usually this is the most difficult aspect because initially it will look awkward when you are talking to a person you don't see with your optical eyes and you expect a response instanta yet you did not hear anything. For a baby Christian it is frustrating! You will need to be discipline enough to continue for a considerable period of time before you will start hearing Him talk and that requires a lot of patience. All of these takes quality time. However, if you invest your time into knowing Jesus, you will reap it massively.

In conclusion, knowing Jesus is knowing God that seems unknown to mankind. The unknown God can be known when we look at His character, His nature, the testimony the Bible gave about Him and finally knowing Jesus Christ that transformed our lives inside out.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real! The decision to spend eternity with God is best made now, give your heart to Jesus today.

~ Father thank you for your word to me today.
~ Father, help me to know you as I develop intimacy with Jesus from today henceforth in Jesus's name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
~ I declare may God release a fresh hunger and passion for His presence upon you in the name of Jesus
~ I prophesy whatever is killing your intimacy with God is taking out of your life today in the name of Jesus.

*Assignment* : Determine to know God by developing intimacy with Jesus personally from today.

TOPIC: YOU CAN KNOW GOD BY KNOWING JESUS CHRIST
⚓Scripture: John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Beloved, Welcome to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Previously, we established that the unknown God can be known! And we say we can know God by studying the Bible and that led us to study His nature, His character and then His ways! Today, as we close out on the theme of the month 'KNOWING THE UNKNOWN GOD OF HEAVEN", it is necessary for us to points out that one channel that can not be ignored in knowing God is the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Why the life of Jesus Christ cannot be ignored in our quest to know the unknown God?
The Bible said:
*Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;*

Therfore, the life of Jesus is a channel God is using to speak to us in this last days.

Our anchor scripture (Jn.17:3) reveals one of the greatest prayer of Jesus and it begins with :
*John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.*

Observe the clause "I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do"! Part of the work Jesus was referring to here was to make God known to mankind, to reveal God to a generation and this He has done successfully. And was captured in His prayer that we might know God as a father.

Beloved, do you desire to know this God that seems unknown to many? What kind of image do you have about God? If you have a poor image of this God, you will probably not be able to serve Him and fulfil the purpose of your existence. Please permit me to introduce to you today, Jesus the son of the living God! He is the way to knowing God. This He categorical stated in:
*John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*

Observe Jesus saying I am the way to the father! In other words you can't go to the father and ignore Jesus. He is the only authorized way to the father. He is not saying I know a way, or I can show you a way rather He said I am the way ! The only access to the father, if you follow Jesus the way, definitely you will meet with God the father.

Jesus further said
*John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.*

So, whatever is not found in Jesus cannot be found in God the father. The Bible said:
*John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.*

Jesus came to declare to us the Father- the God of the universe, the Creator of heaven and earth by his lifestyle, his conduct and his ministry. Anyone's claiming to represent God on earth must therefore live a life that reflect Christ. That is the portrait of a true child of God. A child that reflects Christ in every aspect.

Beloved, in your quest to know God, desire to know Jesus Christ should be top most in your agenda and then strive daily to become like Him in experience, in conduct, in character! Don't permit people to see the other side of you that is devilish in character, let the life of Christ flow out of you. For the Bible said:
*Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.*

God desires you to be conform to the image of His son Jesus Christ! That is revealing Jesus to your world through your character and God is glorified.

However, the starting point of the journey is accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. The Bible said:
*John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:*

You received Jesus by confessing Him as your LORD and Saviour:
*Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.*
