Welcome to another episode of a skirt variation. Another skirt variation I will like to share with you today is a Godet skirt.

A godet itself is an extra piece of fabric in the shape of a circular sector which is set into a garment, usually a dress or skirt.

You may want to ask where top designers get there inspiration from when they make this luxury dresses. Most of this inspirations are also sourced from the basics. Reason you must not take your foundation for granted.

Today was another time to learn something 🤩.

I must tell you teaching is another way to learn yourself. Yes I know this before now,if took another dimension for me.

While I have been teaching my student on skirts and it's variations. We did justice to drafting our basic skirt block pattern,and here we know we could alter the basic skirt pattern to different types we had.

It has really been a good ride of learning. we got to the root, where some skirt type names were coined from. I mean some of this names(styles )were inspired by nature,like flowers.

Imagine you see a beautiful flower in your compound and you got inspired by them, you didn't stop but decided to bring your imagination to Life. How sweet!
