When enough people heal from trauma, the world begins to change.
Many people are walking through life traumatised, without even realising it.
One of the most dangerous things about trauma is that it can be transgenerational. It doesn’t just affect the person who experienced it, It gets passed down, from one generation to the next.
Many parents are unhealed without awareness, they project their unresolved pain onto their partners and children.
And unless those children grow up, become conscious, and intentionally choose healing, the cycle continues into the families they later build. This is how trauma survives generations.
Let’s be clear though:
Trauma is not an excuse for nasty behaviour. NO! Some people simply lack emotional intelligence, empathy, or basic respect, and that is a separate issue. Healing is still your responsibility.
When you choose to heal, you are not just doing it for yourself.
You are protecting children from a generation you may never meet. You are ending patterns that didn’t start with you.
Here are some common signs of unresolved trauma;
If you recognise many of these, it may be time to look inward gently and honestly:
• Deep resentment toward certain people
• Unwanted memories triggered by specific experiences
• Feeling unsafe around most people
• Frequent conflict or tension in different environments
• Isolation, followed by the belief that “people don’t like me”
Trauma doesn’t always come out obvious, sometimes it whispers through patterns, reactions, and relationships.
Healing is not weakness.
It is courage.
