Atinuke walked curiously to the pastor's office as she was informed the pastor requested for her presence. Its been six month Atinuke joined her mother church, her joy was limitless as she started discovering new version of herself, she served God with her heart and made herself available for the work of the Lord
Atinuke was more anxious as she approached the door hearing laughtering sounds in the pastor's office. "What is the reason for this call", she thought as she gently knocked on the door
"come in.... A masculine voice responded to her Knocked"
A cheerful atmosphere welcomed Atinuke as she walks in seeing pastor smiling with an unknown handsome man.
Sister Atinuke.... You're welcome pastor said smiling
Good afternoon sir... Atinuke greeted as she stood anxiously
"You can have your seat.... pastor responded". Being the first time of pastor calling Atinuke to his office, he noticed her anxiousness, he engaged her in many talks to make her feel free. After few minutes of discussion, he introduced the man sitting in his office to Atinuke. Meet my handsome brother Johnson.... Pastor said smiling introducing the young man to Atinuke
"Good afternoon sir .... Atinuke greeted and Johnson responded cheerfully"
"He is my nephew, he actually came to visit and he has been in church for almost two months"
"Oh ... I didn't noticed his presence in the church, Atinuke said surprisingly... You're welcome sir. She added smiling"
"Oh Johnson, you have the ground, pastor said as he stood up taking some books on his desk, I have a meeting to attend now with the church council, he said as he exited the office and Johnson took over from where pastor stopped
Pastors are always busy, Johnson said calling Atinuke attention, we just need more support so we will have time for ourselves.... Oh you're also a pastor, Atinuke cuts in. Yes I am Johnson said smiling
I see... Family of pastors. More grace sir, Atinuke said with a flashy smile
Thanks sister... Now let me do proper introduction. Johnson said as he adjusted his posture
My name is Johnson, I am lover of Christ, I'm 36 and also the only son of my parents, I have three sisters, I have master degree in architectural designs. I gave my life to Christ in my 300 level as undergraduate. Through my relationship with God, I discovered a call on me but I found it difficult to yield to the call. After many prayers and revelations from my fathers in the Lord, I yielded to God's calling though it was so difficult because of my wordly achievements but after yielding to his call, I found new version of myself in God and God instilled a burden of reaching out to youths in me. Johnson introduced and continue as Atinuke listened attentively to him.
"Hmmm...God gave me a vision for the youth, he revealed to me how many lives are wasting away, how many destinys are being destroyed because they don't know him. many youths are struggling with life, many are living life without purpose, they don't know the purpose of their existence. God opened my eyes that our youths need revival because the future of this generation is firmed on them, many are burden with life challenges and they forget God. God said he wants to change many lives... Atinuke spirit was lifted as Johnson spoke.... He said those lives that seems messy is so beautiful but their eyes were covered with the things of the world.
Atinuke sighed heavily as Johnson continues. "God said he wants to give hope to the hopeless, even the worst one that think nothing good will come out of his life, he said he wants to remould them and give them new beginnings". Atinuke eyes clouded with tears as she remembered her past and how God brought her to light... "God said he wants to take youths that are living in the shadow of death to true light of salvation".
Johnson paused for a moment... God is Searching for whom to pour himself on for this great revival... He concluded
Hmmmm.... Atinuke let out a long sigh. This is an awesome revelation from God, she said with broken heart. I will love to part take in your ministry, she said engulfed with passion.
Johnson smiled in response to her words.... Actually i informed pastor of this and some other things which I will love to discuss with you some other day, because I won't like to delay you, I will love to have your contact so we can talk better.. Johnson said genially
They exchanged contacts, Atinuke discovered new purpose of living beyond wordly achievements, this is time to reach out to the lost souls, she thoughts as Johnson escorted her out of the office
THE WORD FOR YOU
There is a purpose for your existence, you being alive till today is you fulfilling what God purposed for you. Have you discovered yourself? Have you discovered your purpose of living? That struggles will be over if you totally come to God, God wants to open new version of yourself to you if you totally surrender yourself to him
