I am a sucker for knowledge.
Especially if it is in the creatives, looks good and/or makes you look good, I am game.
I also do not believe knowledge is cheap. If it offered for free or at a give away price, then I am of the opinion that it is a privilege not a right.
So, believe me when I say I have not only always been learning, but I keep spending to learn. Not just garment making or anything in the creative world, but also how to run the business side of it/them, investing in books, learning basic editing and graphic designs, purchasing apps etc.
Why this background information?
When I wanted to give up. It wasn't because I didn't want to try. It felt more like I had done almost everything in the book, but none seemed to be working; hence, I decided to walk away.

Obviously my legs have refused to move and giving up has again proven to be harder, and that is why I am showing you my fine pink wedding guest dress😁.

Still on the important things you need (but can easily forget) to have with you on your big day(s);

4. Stain Remover!
You definitely do not want a stained wedding outfit on your big day(s), especially if it is bright coloured like White😱. You automatically become overly conscious and feel everyone is looking at the stain even when no one is looking.
There are different tools to this effect, but I will mention two which I believe are quiet easy to get and handy too.

A. Stain Remover pen.
This pen works like magic. You write on the stain and viola! You can smile about it.

B. White chalk.
Yes! You read that right. This is majorly for white dresses like a white wedding dress. This does not necessarily remove the stain, but it hides it well enough and for a few hours too. At least your 'secret' is safe 😂

Been a while!
Still on little but important things to be on your wedding list,

3. Bridal Emergency kit (BEK)
This is highly needed as a safety precaution, in case something unexpected happens on your big day(s).
Of course no one is praying for anything to go wrong, but one has to be well guarded so your total happiness on your big day is preserved.

What then should be in a BEK?
There are quite a number of items in the BEK, and we will take them one after the other till we exhaust or almost exhaust the list😀.
a) A Hand/Mini sewing Kit.
This contains basic sewing Items such as:

A few threads (The colours of your outfit(s) and that of your bride's maids should be a determinant here)
Hand sewing Niddles
Buttons (and other fasteners) Safety pins
Straight Pins
Thimble
Measuring Tape
Fabric Marker(pen or chalk)
Fabric Scissors
Seam Ripper
Pin Cushion/Magnetic Pin Holder A needle Threader
A Container to hold it all together.

Buying a Sewing kit off the counter is fine. Although it may not have all the items listed above, all you have to do is get the other things, as well as a container to hold it all together.
A quick search on google will tell you what these things are, and what they look like.
The good thing is, they are very useful even after the wedding.

Dear Bride to be,

2. A pack or at least a half pack of handkerchief /face towel.

Another seemingly 'not so important Item" is the handkerchief (s)/face towel.

Trust me you need this! Especially in a country like Nigeria where it can get so hot, you need something to dab your well made up face. This is not just for you; the groom as well as the CBM (Chief Bride's Maid) and CGM (Chief Groom's maid)😂 will have an important assignment on their faces for it too, even as they make sure you and your groom enjoy your day(s).

You also do not want to spoil your make-up when the going gets emotional😀. A cotton fabric will be perfect for the rescue of a Mua's hard work.

A matching colour with your outfit is great. If not, white is just perfect.

Hello Brideee!🥰

It is a pleasure to write to you again this day. I have written about these things before now, but I believe it is good I bring them up again.

Let's start with the seemingly "not so important" items.
1. Comfortable Pair of Slippers/Sandals.

I remember a few years back at a friend's wedding, the bride did not remember to make provisions for this life saver. Unfortunately we all forgot.
Her Chief Bride's Maid (CBM) was more of a burden to her than a maid (story for another day).
We were dancing into the reception when she removed her shoes like there were thorns in them, walked straight to me and ordered for my own slippers😂

Ever since, I remind every bride we have an opportunity to talk about the wedding list to add a pair of slippers to the list. I ain't walking bear footed at a wedding again😂.

A Pair of Slippers can actually determine if at all you will enjoy your reception or you will try to enjoy it; especially if you will be wearing heels for your big day. Trust me, this will be a comfort giver that day.
