Fast forward 3 months: dress is scratching your skin,
it’s twisting to one side, and the color inside is fading onto your skin 😭

Here’s what nobody tells you:
The fabric is what people see.
The lining is what you feel all day.

Good lining does 3 things:
1. Makes the dress comfortable - no itching, no heat
2. Helps the dress hold shape - so your peplum doesn’t collapse by 5pm
3. Protects the main fabric - so your Ankara doesn’t tear easily

I always recommend cotton or soft crepe lining.
Breathable for day events, warm enough for night.

Next time you’re sewing, don’t just ask “How much is my bill?”
Ask “which lining are we using?” It’s the difference between 1 wear and 10 wears.
