đź’” To Love a Nurse đź’”
To love a nurse is to understand that their heart doesn’t come home empty
it comes home carrying the weight of a thousand moments they can’t always speak about.
You may never hear the stories…
The baby they tried to save.
The elderly patient who passed with no family.
The moment they held back tears just to stay strong for someone else.
Loving a nurse means accepting that some nights they’ll be quiet,
some days they’ll need space,
and sometimes… they just won’t have the energy to explain why they’re not okay.
It’s learning to love someone who has seen life begin and end
and still shows up to do it all again.
It means reminding them:
“You don’t have to be the strong one all the time.”
That you are allowed to fall apart too.
That your kindness doesn’t have to cost you everything.
Because nurses are incredible but they are human.
So if you love a nurse, love them gently.
Hold their hand after hard shifts.
Be their safe space in a world that never stops asking them to give.
They may wear scrubs, but they carry invisible scars.
And behind their brave face is a soul that just needs to be seen, heard, and held. 🤍🩺
