I was on my lane, he was on his ā€” but I donā€™t know what entered him to overtake at the bend, on a single-lane road for each side for Christ sake.

Oh God! We missed hitting each other by the teethā€¦

I was mad.
I almost hit someone standing by the roadside just because another person chose to make a terrible decision in that moment.

Then it hit me ā€” every decision we make in life doesnā€™t affect only us.

It touches the people around us: our family, our children, even strangers weā€™ve never met.
As parents, our choices speak even louder.
The way we drive, talk, react in anger, manage our health, keep our word ā€” our children are learning ā€œnormalā€ from us every day.

Fear is very, very badā€¦

Have you ever owned something and the fear of touching or using it was stronger than the courage it took to even buy it?
Hmmmmā€¦

I just learnt that the only way to get past fear is to go through it ā€” and thatā€™s exactly what I decided to do this year.

So I bought a coverstitch machine in 2021. My people, the threading alone used to scare me out of my body! šŸ˜„
I knew what it could do, but the sophistication, the technicalities, the ā€œbecoming oneā€ with that machine ā€” hmmm.

Every year I would service it, use it once, and the moment the thread cutā€¦ I would quietly run back to what I knew. Lol.

But this year, I told myself: thread cut or not, my kidsā€™ ready-to-wear must move to a more professional level.
And I did it.
