Charles Adayilo Stephen ( Rapper)- better known by his stage name Harper Cey is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist from Kaduna State. His both parents are Gbagyi which makes him a full indigene of kaduna state. He attended Kaduna capital school and went further to read Computer Science in Kaduna state university. Cey has hit the industry with couple of flamy tracks with his biggest hit song Letter to 6ix, which went viral and made him stand out among many artists, he described as "mind and soul" for the season. Because the season is the reason for this new hit.
Harper began writing Rap songs and started performing them at social events held at his school since 2010. It was not until 2012 that he began going to studios to record. He got together with a couple of friends and formed a group and they had few performances as a group. Harper Cey who is formally know as Harper Chuckee has released several singles produced by Mirahno, Emmy Jay, Alazitha king, Dj Cinch and other producers, through which his music career began to make waves.
For inspiration Harper Cey cited Yung6ix, Nasty C, Joyner Lukas, Jay-Z, Common, Drake, Eminem, Shane Eagle, Ludacris, 6lack as his key musical influences. He said they are the motivation(s) behind his music career.
