While Newbies are hopping on this train, Are you already in the fashion game and you still struggle with the following, then this call is for you:

Drafting patterns( Ndi I sabi join cloth na just cut I no sabi cut), draw near!

You still struggle with installing zipper.

There’s always a zipper bulge on the outfit you make.

The seam of your bodice(half cut) doesn’t align after installing a zipper on a dress.

You don’t understand the need for and the usage of darts in garment construction.

You don’t know how to manipulate darts to create stylines, contours and added fullness on a dress.

You still run guess work when making bustiers.

The bust points doesn’t align when you make bustiers(one up, one down)🙂

The bust cup is always collapsing when you make bustier

Your skirt lacks balance and fit

You struggle with sleeves

You struggle with fittings when making an outfit(you have to adjust severally before an outfit fits properly)

You can only sew for yourself (you can’t sew for other body types and it fits correctly).

You can’t analyse and interprete styles (YouTube is always your go to for every single style you make).

For the many times we take photos just before we hit the ironing board with the hope of returning to take more thereafter but somehow that plan gets lost in the chaos 🤦‍♀️

...Back to school, back to class, back to work, etc....

Resumption had us gushing over this dress made by my student. This photo is a sum total of how styling and accessorizing gives a huge switch to an outfit.
