WHY I DELVED INTO CHILDREN'S FASHION
Ok, let me introduce myself🤩. My name is Funmi Orukotan, a Social worker( with specialty in Children's care especially Vulnerable children), Children's teacher and also a very good Children's fashion Designer. I have always loved children growing up. I started as a Sunday school teacher and a chorister(awa ni awon akorin ologo) glorious singer🤣, I digress. So, I've been working with children for years and I tell you, you really have to be with children if you want to learn what they call PATIENCE and TOLERANCE yay🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️. If you don't have these two, forget it, you can't work with children.
Permit me to digress-----------------------------------------
I used to be a classroom teacher before I got admission into higher institurion. The proprietor of the school is a disciplinarian and he thought all teachers to follow suit so children will be serious in their studies. I remember, I would cane pupils like kilode because it was like I was given a license to do so. I flogged a pupil in my class for not doing his homework to the point that he had a bruise on his left hand. Honestly, I regreted that action of mine and I promised myself never to allow impatience and lack of tolerance get hold of me again especially when dealing with children. From that moment, I knew that training children require more than physical abilities, you really need the holy spirit to direct and give you the grace in that area.
So, like I was saying, after you've subjected yourself to the holy spirit to guide you on how to be patient and tolerant, you'll have to be an actor,😂😂wether you can act or not, you must Sha do some activities with your body to get their attention. So those of you that they are begging to dance, sing or even do short drama to teach children,be playing o.
Anyways, to really get the attention of children, you'll dance,sing, play and even bribe them with orishirishi, shout, scream, do all manner of gimmicks to get attention but when you eventually get their attention, anything you do or tell them stick
