This concept explores the implementation of an overhang pattern across the collar part of different footwear types.

The works behind the scene.

After months of working and making iterations on the Leaf 🍃 clog, the project is finally out.

The past few months have been very interesting and lesson filled. Looking at the amount of works done to bring this project to live, it’s something to be grateful for.
From conceptualizing the sketch, to making multiple rounds of samples, it was quite a fun and hectic challenge.

I’m grateful to my co-collaborator on this project DANIEL ADETONA. This project wouldn’t have happened without his input and support. It was great doing this alongside him.

Prototyping!!!!

A look at the first prototype of the Compression heel concept.
Featuring the finished prototype, the different component iterations, the shoe last used, and the initial product development decisions.

This project features components 3D printed by 3dNaija, as a collaborative approach to bringing the project to live. It’s been an interesting couple of weeks since we embarked on this project, and it’s been fulfilling seeing the concept come together.

A lot of lessons were learnt from developing this project too, and new perspectives were formed too. Seeing how this project is coming together, the next iteration will definitely be the final version. I can’t wait to share the outcome..

Beyond aesthetics, can the protective feature of material prevent injury in the face of extreme force?
