Things to note when making a smoked dress like this.

* You cannot always get a smoking thread in all colors , white and black are the most popular here in Nigeria. Use either of the two that complement the fabric well, after all it’s will be hidden.

*OPTIONAL: Dip the smoked thread in water before using it.

* Depending on what you are making, but this right here consumes fabric ( 5.5 yards was used to achieve this)

* when cutting add extra 18inches to your measurement, remember when you shirr/ smoke the dress it will reduce.

* Note this particular dress has half cut for a fuller effect. The down part was gathered before joining back to the upper part that was smoked.
