NEVER SAY NEVER

I posted this video on YouTube 2 weeks ago and for the first 3 days, I didn’t get any view. I kept checking and checking, still nothing.

Then I told PapaLay that if by weekend it still doesn’t get viewed, then I’d delete it. He tried to talk me out of the idea…

“Just leave it, you don’t expect every video to do well in the beginning” he said.

I knew I wasn’t going to leave it. Although, I understand that I am new to content creation and I don’t expect to start gathering views early on in the day. But, I had done videos that had gotten more views and I thought this one is not getting views because it had taken some days in between my posting schedule to post it.

Anyway, the next morning, I grabbed my phone as soon as I woke up and I saw that my views had climbed to about 20.

I was like, ahan, now you’re talking.

By noon, views started counting.

Days passed, and I started getting even more views and subscribers.

To cut the story short, at the moment…

I have gotten 19 new subscribers from the video.

It is the second most liked video on my channel.

It is the second most viewed video on my channel.

I am so grateful to God that there is no aspect of dressmaking that I cannot operate on.

The past couple of days has been a roller coaster of emotions running the affairs of . At some point, I had series of conversations about giving up and just focusing on other things.

However, I am reminded of how far I have come, how much I have given to get the business to where it is and the great potentials that is ahead of it.

If there’s something I’m so sure about, it is the fact that the vision for this brand is clear as day and also, I have coconut head.

So, on gloomy days like the past ones, I remind myself that no one promised me a smooth entrepreneurial journey especially in the early days. Running a business anywhere is a huge task and triple the task in Nigeria. Employees will test my sanity. Sometimes, things won’t go as planned and that’s fine too.

If like me, you need any motivation to get up and continue, here you have it.

Take a deep breath. You’ve got what it takes. 🤗
