Dear colleagues,I learnt something new today o
I was scrolling through one of these social media posts and read where one of our colleagues asked” Apart from sunlight,electric hand dryer,what other ways can milliners dry their moulded caps this rainy season?”
Haaa,,I quickly jumped into the comment sections,my eyes opened oo,:
1)Oven
2)Microwave
3)Even someone said the back of a sounding generator (but I’m scared of the smoke)
I learnt something oo because what I have been using for years when there’s no sunlight is the VENTILATION FAN of an Air conditioner and it works for me..we really learn everyday..
Do you have any other ideas,please share..
We are all here to learn and interact.

During my training in millinery,my boss told me that if I want to be successful in this business,I must know these major things:
1)Measurements
2)Materials
3)Color
The first two are quite understanding but you see the last one,even when you think you know it all,customers will make you think twice cos right now,I don’t know which one is COCOYAM BROWN in these colours stated below😩.

I always give the best advice to my customers not only because I want to make sales,also I want their orders to serve their purposes..
Sorry oo but sincerely some of my international customers no dey hear word oo.I told one of them let me dispatch her headpiece via DHL last week but she told me not to worry,that she has a sister in Lagos who ll help her with the dispatch so I should just use local dispatch riders to her location.
I said ok and dispatched as discussed.Yesterday she sent me a message saying
“Hi flony..I really don’t know how to say this cos you told me to handle the headpiece carefully.My sister removed the headpiece from its pack and squeezed it with other items I told her to send,now the headpiece has lost it’s original shape,please what do I do?”
How do I reply this customer to “WEAR HER NEW CREATION LIKE THAT”but in a polite way cos I don’t want to loose her oo😂😂😂
Make Una help me with the right English oo

As a vendor,there are basic categories of customers you meet especially first time customers and they include:
1)FRIENDLY(greets,asks about business,amount,proceeds to make orders)
2)BUSINESS MINDED( always intentional,goes straight to the point,amount,then proceeds to make orders)
3)INQUISITIVE(always asks questions,your name,location,parents name,phone numbers,amount,any discounts,then proceeds to make orders)
4)INDECISIVE(struggling to make choices,asks for yours and family opinion,amount,will get back,then proceeds to make orders after days).
Which of these categories do you always pray to meet?

My colleague called me that she had a little misunderst@nding with her new customer.
I asked to know why and she said her new customer requested for a video of the headpiece she made for her.Unknowingly she wore it to showcase the headpiece but the customer wasn’t happy that she wore it herself instead of using MANNEQUIN.she told her she shouldn’t use herself to showcase her headpiece next time.This got my colleague angry because she saw it as an insult and angrily exchanges words with the customer..
The customer didn’t return after that purchase..
My people who’s wrong here?
Meanwhile I don’t even know why I love using these trimmings?They just add beauty to my headbands

Just like my mentor says “The elevator to success is out of order,you’ll have to use the stairs,take it one step at a time”..This reminds me that there no rush in success,it takes preparation,consistency,hardwork and learning from failures..
As a milliner,I choose the stairs to success,I choose patience especially when it comes with the works of my hands and I’m taking it one step at a time.

When the lord blesses the works of your hands,even your little efforts yields massive results.. A flony unique Queen referred us to her friend in Canada to create a nice headpiece for a wedding..
In her words she said “my friend is very selective,if you can give her what she wants and exact color with the bag I sent to you,you have gained a new customer”
I said ok,went into work and behold she loved it,she has even called for another headpiece..
