THANK YOU, JESUS! 🙏🏽😭❤️
What happened in my compound on Sunday made me realise again that God can protect us in ways we don’t even understand.
I was at home sewing when I suddenly heard a very loud BOOM! 😳
The sound was so heavy that I thought maybe it was the bucket someone was carrying that had fallen.
Before I could even process what happened, I ran outside and saw my pregnant neighbour on the floor.
I quickly helped her up, and she was in serious pain. She was crying and saying, “My baby is not kicking! My baby is not kicking!”
Honestly, I held my tears back. 😭
I don’t know anything about pregnancy, but at that moment, the only words that came out of my mouth were, Your baby is okay. Don’t panic. Your baby is okay.
She kept pressing the side of her stomach where she had hit the ground, and I told her, Please stop pressing it. You are already in pain. Let’s get you to the hospital.
I had to call one the neighbor at the other end who did not know what was happening to reach Her husband, number wasn’t reachable, I told him to call the caretaker because I heard their voice before they left the compound. The husband and caretaker came, they were standing and wondering were to get a vehicle
I said, Please, let me book a Bolt. I brought my phone and did that immediately
The driver came, and eventually she was taken to the hospital.
I stayed back, but I kept calling to know what was happening.
Then came the phone call I had been waiting for:
The doctor checked her and said the baby was okay. 🙏🏽😭
Nothing happened to the baby.
They gave her medication to help with the pain, and when she came back, she was much better.
And the sweetest part?
Her baby started kicking again. 🥹❤️
I cannot explain the relief I felt.
But there is something else that happened before the fall that I cannot ignore.
Earlier that day, there had been an incident where she almost fell. And immediately, something in my spirit told me:
“Pray against evil happening in this compound.”
I didn’t understand it.
I didn’t ask questions.
I just prayed.
I declared that no evil would happen in the compound. I prayed for the safety of everyone
And later that same day, this happened.
I am not here to explain everything. I am simply here to say:
GOD, THANK YOU. 🙏🏽
Thank You for keeping that mother.
Thank You for keeping that baby.
Thank You that nobody is mourning in this compound.
Thank You that what could have ended in tragedy ended with thanksgiving.
And thank You that I was at home that Sunday.
Because normally during the week, she can be the only person in the compound after taking her children to school. The others go to work, the women go to the market, the men go out.
But God chose Sunday.
God chose that moment.
God allowed someone to be around.
Only God knows how many things He prevents that we never even hear about.
Sometimes we call it coincidence.
Sometimes we call it luck.
But sometimes, you just have to look at everything that happened and say:
Father, I see You.❤️
So today, I am not asking God for anything.
I just came to say:
THANK YOU, JESUS!
Thank You for the mother.
Thank You for the baby.
Thank You for everyone who helped.
Thank You for divine protection.
Thank You for life.
Nobody is mourning here. We are giving God praise! 🙌🏽😭❤️
What a mighty God we serve.
THANK YOU, JESUS! THANK YOU, JESUS! THANK YOU, JESUS! 🙏🏽
