BEST GRADUATING STUDENT WITH A FIRST CLASS HONORS IN DRAMATIC ARTS, OAU

On Thursday 12th of December, 2024, I finally wrapped up what I started in 2018 as the best graduating student in my department. I couldn’t bring myself to post my pictures early enough because I’m still trying to absorb it all in😀

Bagged a first class honors in a department that had only produced a first class twice since its inception in 1963 making me the First female to finish with a first class after 40 years of its inception.

Looking back at how I tried Jamb twice but was denied admission the first time to
study law in Unilag and how I eventually picked OAU in my second attempt, that particular school I had vowed to never ever attend even if it was the only option left (don’t blame me😂😂), showed me that it must have been Divine orchestration 🙌

Not in my wildest dream did I ever imagine that I would study dramatic arts, it was either Law or Law. But looking back through the years, all I can say is God is in this story!

I still have a lot to say, maybe I’ll continue on the next post 😂

“Evidence” from a Senegalese Dance production 🇸🇳

Been staring at these pictures since 2 days that I received the pictures and I’m like “Gurlll… you did that”. 🥹😍

When I tell you I gave my all into this particular project, I kid you not! Had creative block at a particular point 😩And as usual if I didn’t bring them out here, it might stay forever in my gallery so I said not this one!

While creating my mood board, I decide to make the Senegal flag color more predominant even down to the African prints I bought and as you can see, they came out so beautiful 😍

I made use of sacks for the skirt you saw in the fourth slide, talmbout upcycling😉

Take a look at the masquerade in the 6th slideeeeeee… made use of Brazilian wool to create the “ZIMBA” masquerade which the whole story of the dance production centered around
