A Birthday Letter to Myself
Today, I pause — not just to celebrate my birthday, but to honour every single part of my journey. The battles I’ve fought, the tears I’ve wiped alone, the nights I almost gave up, and the mornings I rose again when no one believed I could.
I have struggled, yes… more than I ever thought I could bear. But here I am — still standing, still growing, still shining. I may have been broken in places, but those cracks have let the light in. They’ve taught me patience, faith, and strength that only pain could teach.
Today, I refuse to see myself as a victim of what I’ve been through. I am a survivor. I am a warrior. I am living proof that no storm lasts forever.
I thank God — for keeping me when I couldn’t keep myself. For every quiet miracle, every unseen hand that guided me through the darkness. I thank my heart for never fully giving up, even when it was weary.
This new year of my life, I choose peace. I choose joy. I choose to believe that everything I lost will be replaced with something even greater. My story isn’t over — it’s just beginning again, this time with wisdom, courage, and grace.
Happy Birthday to me — the one who has walked through fire and still comes out glowing.
I am proud of the woman I am becoming.
And I am grateful for the woman I have always been.
