There are moments in life you hope are just bad dreams — but today, the pain is real. It is with a heart so heavy I can barely find the words that I announce the passing of my brother, my partner in service, and my dearest friend: Kamaldeen Yusuf, popularly called BRAVO.
Kamaldeen served as the President of OFFA Students’ Union, and I served alongside him as General Secretary. That was never just a title arrangement to us — it was a bond forged in work, trust, and purpose. We spent countless hours behind closed doors, sorting out student issues, planning programs, resolving crises, and even disagreeing on ideas, yet always finding common ground for the good of the union.
I saw his dedication up close: how he led with humility, how he stayed calm when things got tough, how he smiled even when carrying heavy responsibilities, and how he always had my back just as I had his. We shared laughs over small wins, encouraged each other when we felt drained, and dreamed of how to leave the union better than we met it.
To lose him so suddenly — taken from us in a ghastly accident on the 8th of June 2026 — feels like a part of my own world has been shaken. He was full of life, ambition, and so many plans still unfulfilled. A bright light has been extinguished far too soon.
The corridors, the meeting halls, and the history of OFFA Students’ Union will never feel quite the same without him. The memories we shared as EXCO members will remain etched in my heart forever.
Rest in eternal peace, my BRAVO. Thank you for your leadership, your loyalty, and your true friendship. You are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
My deepest condolences to his beloved family and everyone who loved him. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and comfort all those who mourn him.
Farewell, Kamaldeen Yusuf. Forever remembered, forever missed.
