PORTRAIT OF THE BLESSED

Just like a skilled painter creating a perfect likeness through masterful brushtrokes, the following Scriptures paint a clear portrait of the one whom the Lord calls “blessed,” or truly and deeply happy. Is it a portrait of you?

• Happy is the man whom God correcteth. Job 5:17

• Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33:12

• Blessed is he that considereth the poor. Psalm 41:1

• Blessed is the man whom Thou chastenest, O Lord. Psalm 94:12

• Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in His commandments. Psalm 112:1

• Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2

• Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord. Psalm 144:15

• Happy is he … whose hope is in the Lord his God. Psalm 146:5
