The fashion industry is one of the largest and fastest growing industry on earth, and this is because every individual is involved with fashion, either as a producer or as a final consumer.
Our outfits have become a large part of our lives and culture, it now places a huge role in defining who we are, like the popular saying, DRESS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE ADDRESSED.
Quite frankly, we are all still trying to figure out the Fashion Industry in its totality and the constant change in fashion trends doesn't make it any easier for us as individual.
However, there are few things that we tend to overlook, which are the basis of putting a classy yet modest look that properly serves as our voice.
Here are 5 Fashion Errors You are probably making
1. Imitating other people’s style.
Well, this is maybe the biggest mistake of all. First, everyone is different, both physically and personally; and your style should be a reflection and an extension of who you are, not an imitation of someone else. Besides, what suits someone else won't necessarily suit you. Your body type and body shape goes a long way in determining what an outfit will look like on you.
Soo ensure to figure out what suits you, and what works for so, if possible, get a consultation with a fashion designer to determine your body type, so that you don't end up with what I Ordered vs what I got, if you get what I mean😂😂
2. Wearing the wrong outfit for an occasion.
Have you even been invited to an event and after your arrival you notice how people's outfit contradict's the theme of the event.
Most of us don't know that we have different outfits for different occasion, your Jean and shirts doesn't fit into every event. When you are invited to an event, make research on the outfits that fits into the theme of the event, doing this help you, and you dont end up looking out of place at the event.
3. Wearing the wrong accessories.
Not every outfit needs to to accessorised, you need to figure out the structure of your outfit to determine what accessories best suits what you're wearing, this helps you look more elegant.
Your shoes can also be tagged as accessories, so ensure that you're wearing the right pair of shoes, be sure that your shoes fits into your outfits perfectly. You don't want to put on an amazing outfit and then your shoes completely ruins everything. So your shoes are as important as the outfits itself
4. Wearing too much accessories
Wearing a lot of, accessories, makes you look unorganisedw, you don't have to put all your accessories together in one look, figure out what works well with the outfit you're wearing, and keep it moderate.
5. Not taking care of your clothes properly.
Every clothing materials cannot be washed the same way, or even ironed the same way, that's why some outfits come with instructions on how to properly care for them, not taking care of your clothes makes them look old and worn out even when you hardly wear them, you need to learn how to properly wash, dry, iron and fold your clothes to ensure that they last longer.
